ECOBANK REFURBISHMENT
IKOTUN, AJOSE, GARKI, LAGOS 2023
A comprehensive branch refurbishment program was undertaken for ten existing banking facilities distributed across Nigeria’s diverse geopolitical regions. The primary objective was to reestablish the bank’s corporate identity in a cost-effective and replicable manner.
Design Concept:
The architectural approach centered on the notion of transparency to visually embody the bank’s new ethos of openness. This was physically manifested by removing perimeter fencing and relocating ancillary structures to the rear of the buildings. By eliminating these physical barriers, the project created a more welcoming and accessible environment that fosters a sense of trust and connection between the bank and its customers.
ANETORPLUS LTD.
A key strategy was to minimize waste and disruption by optimizing the existing building conditions. The design emphasized adaptive reuse and avoided extensive alterations. Furthermore, the project was meticulously planned to allow uninterrupted branch operations throughout the refurbishment process.

THE ARECA PALM THE
LASER CUT PANEL
CONCEPT
To harmonize with the bank’s “Eco” branding, a biophilic design strategy was implemented. The façade incorporates laser-cut panels emulating the morphology of Areca palm leaves.
vThe intricate leaf patterns provide a dynamic and visually engaging exterior while simultaneously mitigating solar heat gain through shading of the expansive curtain wall glazing.
MCPHERSON UNIVERSITY
COLLEGE BUILDING
ABEOKUTA, OGUN STATE 2022
ANETORPLUS LTD.
The brief entailed the design of a building for the College of Computing in McPherson University. Our goal was to design a warm, welcoming and embracing institutional building, as seen by the entrance with its welcoming outstretched arms funnelling people into the building, while also achieving its practical requirements by providing offices, labs, study rooms, and breakout spaces for interaction.
To represent the institutional nature of the building, visual elements such as symmetry, balance, warm tones, and colonnades were adopted. One of our primary objectives was sustainability, which was achieved through the use of green areas, courtyards, interior space arrangement and orientation, shading devices, and natural ventilation and lighting.
