SUMMER CAMP GUIDE

Summer 2023

Registration begins Monday, March 27, 2023

WELCOME!

Sarasota County Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources offers nine weeks of summer fun for children entering grades 1 through 12. These camps provide a variety of safe and enjoyable summer recreation opportunities for your children.

Day Camp: Designed for children entering grades 1 through 5, the camp includes weekly themes, multiple field trips a week, physical activity, creative arts, science and nature, safety and wellness and character-development activities.

Adventure Camp: Youth entering grades 6 through 8 participate in multiple field trips a week as well as sports, games, arts and crafts, and more.

Counselor-in-Training (C.I.T.): An elite group of hand-selected high school students learn skills that will prepare them to become successful camp counselors. C.I.T. participants assist counselors and have the opportunity to earn volunteer hours.

Specialty Camp: More than 30 specialty camps are scheduled throughout the summer. Each camp focuses on a specific theme, allowing campers to focus on a favorite activity or try something different.

Signing up is easy with our online registration at scgov.net/parks. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m., Monday, March 27, 2023.

Camp staff positions include: counselors, substitute or specialty counselors, assistant supervisor and camp supervisor!

Applicants must be age 16 and up.
