If housing is to be considered as the realm of private, domestic space then this project seeks to question how the domain of the apartment can be defined through an arrangement of interior (rooms) and exterior (courtyards/ balconies) spaces. The project is then represented as a composition of two distinct and architecturally significant housing typologies, the apartment tower and the courtyard house. A project where the experience of living is defined by inside vs. outside, as well as vertical vs. horizontal.
