manifiesto Experience in architectural drawing but with ability for the design and art. Versatile and without fear of change. Sensitivity and respect of materials in architecture and Japanese art makes me feel inspirational. Always looking for a challenge in my designs, however the client is who define a project, there is little of me in my works, something subtle. Do not believe in personal branding or repetition, each project should be unique. Main interest in restoration and reuse, raised as ephemeral spaces which rise of a poetic drive.

Museum

Area 3.320 m2 Date 2019 In the center of modern cities there is no room for new work, but there are many abandoned buildings that have a limited use or that allow themselves to deteriorate with the simple fact of speculating with them. Is it necessary to demolish a building that has a patrimonial and cultural value at the request of building a new one that has no architectural value? The purpose of this Study Project is to propose a design that allows defining the content (interior space) of the container (building) located at Paseo del Prado 30th street, corner with Gobernador street, located in the Central District of Madrid, for the future implementation of a museum supply and thus contribute to its protection.

Restaurant

Area 313,47 m2 Date 2017

Chakana means “ladderâ€? in the original Quechua language of Peru: ladder of union between the low and the high, the earth and the sun. The design of the space starts from this idea, the duality between the modern and planned vision of design, and the traditional, handcrafted and structured of the Peruvian world. The protagonist of the restaurant is the color, a clear reference to traditional Peruvian architecture and clothing. An explosion of Peruvian colors that spreads and envelops the space giving a unique touch and personality to each room. The interior is conceived as a succession of horizontally and vertically separated spaces through facades that act as a differentiating point between areas that the client goes through, and by means of stairs that fragment and allow a formal, hierarchical and expressive treatment of the space. As a previous step to the dining room, a brick pattern is established on the basis of a lattice texture that generates a filter between the exterior and the interior. Surrounding the dining area is a façade formed by individual tiles of rubble synthesizing an original look that preserves the warm aura of the old traditional buildings. This element, together with the vegetation, is complemented by two false large skylights that give the whole the feeling of being on the outside, creating rhythm and dynamism. | Juan Carlos M.
