Project Brief
•The Academy of Art wants to create an Esports gaming Arena for the public and its students to host multiple events and games. The client needs a Competition Arena for gamers around the world and is aiming to be one of the best Esports Centre in North America.
•The Site is located at 180, New Montgomery Street, San Francisco, CA.
•The aim of the project is to engage the public in games and participate in this booming industry. We would also have a recreational space for people who do not wish to play the game but would like to experience this amazing space. We have everything for the people of San Francisco. The location itself is the heart of SF and attracts many people of different ages.
•The building site has only one constraint- Multiple columns. We have created a space that feels the columns are inclusive and do not stand as an unnecessary hindrance. The space is created in a way that even when the competitions are not being hosted, it can be utilized as a space for other even hosting or training.
Concept Statement- Espresso at Dawn!
It’s wonderful, how the world unfolds in Infront of your eyes when you witness the beautiful time of the day- Dawn! The feel of the space would be intentionally portrayed as the start of the day(Dawn) which will be filled with energy- like you have when you drink a shot of Espresso! This Gaming Centre will provide an atmosphere of outdoors indoors with natural elements and greens throughout the space.
The idea of the space is to feel recharged with the mood it creates with the color palette, forms, and textures, which is exactly what we need in a gaming arena! I will achieve the mood through monochromatic schemes which have splashes to color through forms and furniture!

The café space is for people to come in and relax even when they are not involved in games. It is an inviting space for everyone to enjoy fresh Coffee and Boba. The energy in the space is continuing through the bar offering energy drinks.
The open play area is for everyone to enjoy. There are different play stations in different areas within the space. The lounge area is for people to have Coffee and Boba from the café and have a conversation feeling the energy of the space. It is also the space to network and bring in people for different events.
Gaming Arena
The Gaming Arena is to conduct gaming competitions throughout the year. The seating is like an auditorium for the audience. There are VIP seating as well. Special care has been taken for the Wheelchair person for seating.
When the games aren’t taking place, the space will be used for presentations and to conduct different events. It can also be rented for events, that way University can earn profit to invest in the school. This room has multipurpose functions.

CONCEPT: TREE WITH A GOLD LEAF
The concept is based on the combination of nature meeting the classic era. There is a way to direct people into the zone which helps them live in that era or time, I want to achieve that sense of classic feeling one has when one enters the Café and Bakery. Hence the concept.
I have selected materials that give that old-era feel and at the same time give the comfort of being in a place where time stops. You can have a peaceful time while being with friends and family.
This café and bakery serve everything from scratch. I have chosen materials, which compliments my concept. There is a moody design through a color palette, Interior envelope, and lighting!
This place will encourage people to attend to the time when they can just enjoy meals from scratch with freshly brewed coffee and other kinds of beverages. I wish for this place to have the feel of an escape from the daily worries of everyone’s life!
The Tree with a Gold leaf has a sense of nature and freshness in the space and the luxury of gold connects it to the classic timeless aesthetics.
I want this place to feel like a place regularly visited by neighbors and give a sense of community. In older times, people used to have public gatherings more, hosted more family dinners, and have one or other reasons to get together and be with each other through food. When internet times come into the picture people do not have time for anything and all they want is quick things, this space will take them back to the feeling of stillness and remind them that taking time for yourself is very important in this fast-pacing era. They can be with their people and have the most of it here. I welcome everyone to enjoy the space and feel still in the Classic era!

The materials I chose for the Interior envelope are carefully selected considering it is a café which has old times feeling. It is not modern and wants to give a cozy experience to its user.

Renders
The space is designed in a way that people leave stress outside and just have a place to breathe. The concept clearly shows that it gives the feeling of old times when people used to gather around and have real conversations rather than their heads on their phones. This place is a tree with Gold leaves where the feel of old times is experienced again. Hence the furniture and lighting are selected in vintage style. The ceiling gives a grandeur feel of the old era.

Sketches
Since I was a kid, I loved painting. When I travel or go to the nearby park, I sketch the surroundings, capturing the beauty of nature. Growing up, beautiful buildings fascinated me, and I started taking pictures and coming back home sketching them in my book and keeping it in my travel journal. I get inspired by the art and since have included it in everything I do. I am improving it every day while getting inspired by beautiful surroundings…….!
