FOREWORD Every year, International Congress marks the most important happening of the AIESEC calendar, connecting the largest number of delegates and countries at a conference, who spend 10 days to exchange ideas and feel the energy of young leaders from all over the world. IC 2012 is a unique event, as it happens only once, at this point of time and with this group of people. Therefore, we concentrated all our efforts to create an environment for you that allows you to achieve your goals for the conference and enjoy every moment of it.

2 Dearest AIESECers from all around the world,
Welcome to IC in Moscow! This congress has been just around the corner ladies and gentlemen. I can’t express how excited me and my team are to receive all of you here with the dedicated congress committee. I would like to actually take this chance to tell you a story about the creation of this IC because it is actually different from all the previous ones that I know. We took a challenge as a team together to make sure this IC is a direct 100% reflection of our strategy so that we can bring our unique contribution to the network this year. AIESEC is half way into AIESEC 2015 process and our promise is out there for the society. Will we be able to provide nearly 1 million leadership development experiences to young people to 2015. Do we believe in achieving it? This is a once in a life time event, the biggest event of AIESEC, and I believe also one of the biggest truly global youth summits in the world. I have no doubt that this IC is going to largely define the future of our organization and potentially the future of our society. We hereby commit to ensure that every single session is to be firmly tided to our purpose and our dream for this organization that we are all deeply proud of. The entire AI team and CC team are working fully switched on days and nights to present you the best conference experience ever and we really look forward to seeing you soon!

Cosmos Hotel is proudly hosting this year’s IC, it is one of the biggest hotels in Moscow and has a strong tradition hosting conferences and events. In return we would ask you to treat the venue with respect and care and be considerate of the other guests.

Your IC badge is a SmartCard, please keep the SmartCard with you at all times. You will need it for meals and for on-site payments like drinks at parties and merchandise. You can put money on your SmartCard at registration and we will try to set up additional recharge points during the conference. But it is better to make sure to have enough money on it to avoid waiting times at recharge. That is why we would recommend you to put a minimum of 1000 RUB at the first recharge. At the end of the conference, we will refund your remaining deposit. In case of loss there will be a fee of 500 RUB.
