Design Process Features Concept Brainstorming Firstly, I consider all of the features that the user may require, after that I undergo a brain storming session in order to achieve as many ideas as possible. Once I have created and modified the sketches and mockups in order to get the perfect shape for the features,

Prototyps Material and Industrial Process Then I start to think about the materials i require and the industrial processes for production. Eventually, I create the final prototype, making it appear as real as possible in order to certify that the product is valid for the user.

Dudum is a construction game aimed at children without and with disability such as cerebral palsy; the particular age aim is from 4-7 years old. The main aim of the project is to achieve and promote the social inclusion, and cooperation between both users as much as possible. The pack contains 10 pieces, which are available in different sizes and ergonomic shapes. Each piece can be joined together with the others, due to the magnets, which facilitate the contact between them. In addition each piece can be used as an independent toy and due to the characterizations, children can let their imagination run wild. Furthermore the surface of the product has different materials and textures in order to promote sensory games for children with disabilities.

1. STRUCTURE Function:It’s a solid structure with resistance to damage, finished with a spongy yet rugged texture which sparks the tactile senses. In addition it is made up of magnets and metal sheets, which allow for ease of use while playing the game. Material: PP (polypropylene) Process: Injection 2. MAGNETIC BONDING Function: Allows the effective conjoining of pieces due to the harmonious polarity of the magnet working in conjunction with the metal sheet. This is useful for children with little ability in the hands or for those who are less mobile. Material: magnet Neodymium/ metal Sheet 2mm 3. SURFACE Function: Provides the characterization of the product with the use of differing aesthetics and unique functions in comparison to conventional toys. Material: Wood white pine Process: Laser cut 4. INTERIOR UNION Function:Parts, which clip together linking each section of the piece, and cut out sections which create an ergonomic place to hold and interact with the figure.Material: PP (polypropylene) Process: Injection

MDUDU

Mdudu is a toy for children with cerebral palsy, which aims to achieve the improvement of restoration in muscular ability. The product is in the form of a worm, which has an infinite body, and a humorous face that the children can create. The user starts the game by beginning at the bottom of the worm and working their way along the body. Meanwhile the user receives exhilarating sensations, and feels a specific movement, which mimics the bounce of a horse in order to relax the child’s musculature. Finally, when the child is closer to the front of the worm, he creates the face with various different parts such as nose, eyes, mouth etc. The aim of the game is to complete the whole face, however the instructor can adjust the difficulty level of the game, depending on the users abilities.
13
The face of the worm has a basic geometry with holes, in order for the user to understand where they must add the parts. This part has been made with PP, and by Rotational moulding. In addition, on the side there are two bells, which stimulate the users auditory senses and at the back there are two conjoining parts, which have to be fixed by 3 screws.
Rotational Moulding pp
The body of the product has a peculiar geometry, due to its ability to mimic the shape of horse back, and transmit the sensations mentioned above. Furthermore each side has a specific texture in order to maintain the child’s interest. The joints between each module are unending because each end has a negative geometry which coincides with the front. On both sides there is a metal guide, which helps the Saddle to go through it. The body has also been made with PP by Rotational moulding. Injection pp

The support of the saddle, that runs along the worm’s body has a small wheel in the upper part in order to slide over the toy. In addition it also has the complementary guide of the module. Furthermore it has holes required for the spring, which mimics the bouncing movement of the horse. The saddle support has been made with PP, by thermoforming. The saddle is the most important part of the project. In the lower area it has springs and incorporates a belt in order to hold and help the child to adapt a comfortable position.

NOIL

Noil is a vast oil cooperative from Navarra which aims to expand to an international market and appeal to mature consumers between 40-50 years old. Particularly users who tend to avoid supermarkets and look for luxury. The desire of this project is to create a new concept for Oiler. Firstly my aim is re-create a design, which avoids drips. This can be done, by combining the oil bottle with a pouring cap in order to pour the oil effectively.

The geometry which achieves the tightness between the Europa 6T and the new piece, has a cylindrical shape, with a coincident thread and skirt. In addition, in the middle section of the geometry, there is a circular shape, coupled with the upper tip, which regulates the amount of the fluid passing through. If this element is blocked, the system closes, however if the piece is alleviated the liquid is able to go through.

Enotest is a product for people who want to expand their knowledge of wine. This Technology has sensors located within the base of the upper section of the wineglass, which are connected by a RFID lector, the RFID produces information, and transmits it to a coaster with a printed circuit where the user can then see the various qualities of the wine, sugar and alcohol information along with suggested content such as food combinations through the use of light. The device boasts flexibility and lightness, highlighting what can be achieved with the use of printed electronics technology. This Project, have been done with 12 more university’s comreds who had different disciplines. Our job was study the potencial users, do the exterior design of the machine, and create a new front end in order to help the user to interact with the product.

FOODINI This machine helps to create savoury or sweet cuisine. The fresh food ingredients are always prepared before printing and by encouraging the use of fresh food this process helps to promote healthy eating. The machine itself manages the difficult and time-consuming parts of food preparation that often discourage people from creating homemade meals. This Project has been done with 12 more university comrades who each have different disciplines. Our job was to study the potential users, manage the exterior design of the machine, and create a new front end in order to help the user to interact with the product.

DUBA
This is a children’s screen. The brief of the Project was to create a product with the use of wood and textiles. My proposal was to get a space separator, in order to create a personal area for the child, which the parents could see through and monitor. Hence we have the middle square with a ‘magic’ door. The games are located on both sides, for example there is a tangram on the one side, and a roll of paper to draw on the other. This product is targeted at children between the ages of 1-5.

Duba is a chair designed for a contract or home atmosphere. The combination of materials and colours with the elegant smoothness of the profile, achieves a harmonious mixture of grace and character. The main element, which highlights this product’s concern for simplicity, is on the top. This is a plastic piece made by injection that connects the main structure of the chair, thereby achieving and adding considerable simplification of the product. Duba propose to convey simplicity and calmness, in a modern and innovative context. In addition to the injection plastic piece, the product has the option to create a vast collection with minor modifications. On the one hand, by extending the legs and squeezing the plastic we can create a stool, and on the other hand, by widening this same piece, leaving the legs with the same initial dimensions, we have a small armchair or a bench. This is a very unique product as you can take advantage of its versatility and several design options.

POT DE POTS
This is a product, which has been done for a competition. The brief requested a quick, easy and cheap production; with products form “Servei Estació. The idea was to cut cardboard tubs into different sizes in order to be able to put one into the other. In addition, there are added illustrations in order to achieve an attractive and cool product.

TRAST Contrast is a Project, which aims to catch people’s attention. It seeks to mimic the geometry of an arrow, trying to indicate the different floors from the facade, as a result it facilitates the sale of flats, which were on promotion, giving a different look, and adding more appeal to the thousands of apartments that are nowadays located in the city of Barcelona.
