“A STRANGER WENT OUT OF HIS WAY! ” My cousin from Florida came to visit me in New Jersey, where he grew up. He wanted to go to the cemetery where his parents are buried. Both of us forgot the name of the cemetery but thought we would easily f ind it. Because of many changes in the area, we had diff iculty locating it. Finally, we saw a man standing by the road, and we stopped and asked for his help. He told us that he would lead us there, and we could follow him. But we realized that it wasn’t the cemetery we were looking for. When we told him it wasn’t the right one, he proceeded to lead us to another cemetery, which was the correct one. We thanked him over and over! We were so touched that a stranger was so kind to go out of his way and take time to help us ! —Paulette Feintuch, Parsippany, NJ

When I hit the ground, I knew I was in trouble. For a second, hit the ground, I knew I was in trouble. For a second, I didn’t know how I would get up. She told me she was a nurse and helped me stay calm while waiting for the ambulance to arrive. Her kind and reassuring words were like a bandage to an arm that the doctor confirmed was broken and might need surgery.
