Julian Mpouho Epigat Professor Rocino Building Design 04/10/14 Outdoor lecture space There were many spaces where I could have made my outdoor lecture space. The one that I chose is the smoking area, the intersection between Treamont street and Appleton street. The main reason why I chose it, it is because while in students can not be really exposed to the sun, and there is the building next to it who protects students from the wind. The place is also good because the foundation block is not straight. Where the teachers stands, it is 15 inches above the ground, and on the back of the class it is 30 inches above the ground. So That means it is easy to put stairs to bring people in, and easier for handicap people with cheel chair because they benefit from the slope to come in. All kind of people can easily have access to the class. I created a ramp to bring people with wheen chair in. Normal people can also use it, but I also put 2 pairs of stairs, one from each side of the class. The class can welcome more than 15 students. I also chose that place because around the class, it is the only place where people with the wheel chair can get into the building, and there are 2 entries around the oudoor lecture space.
