Julian Mpouho Epigat Professor Larsen Building Design II 10/23/14 Site analysis

The site I went to was the ward’s pond on 380 pond avenue. When you arrive at the site, you realize that it is not a flat area, there is a parking lot where you can park cars. It is a nice and relax site, people walk by, they take strolls with their family and dogs. To get there there is a bus station, and the heath station the green line not really far. It is a public space, everyone is welcomed. The area is huge, we can only benefit of the place around the pond, the green space that can be use for playing with friends, or picnic. There are some areas where is packed of trees, they are all grouped. I found some wetlands around the pond, water touches edges of the ground. There are not setbacks; by walking you can automatically access to the pond. Around the site, there are a lot of building apartments. Only one road separates the buildings from the site. These buildings are made of bricks. The day day I went to, it was a little sunny, and windy, it was an afternoon. I have seen water and trees moving. Where there are tall trees, you can see the shadows appear on the grass. It’s a green area, just vegetation on the site; trees. There are some walkways around the pond, that’s where people walk. I have seen only 3 to 4 drains. Humans built the parking lot on the site, they did not put any additional light like lamps. The night, the

site is dark. People are coming from the baseball field behind the site, or by the road. The noise is very low, it’s a quiet area except when the traffic is intense.
