CONSTRUCTION OF KYIV M3 METRO LINE SECTION FROM SYRETS STATION TO VYNOHRADAR RESIDENTAL AREA Project includes 4 new stations on Syretsko-Pecherska metro line M3 in Kyiv, which will be built in 3 stages of construction. “Mostytska” and “Pravdy Avenue” metro stations - 1st stage of construction, “Vynohradar” metro station - 2nd stage of construction, “Marshala Hrechka” station and Metro Trains Depot - 3rd stage of construction. 1st stage of construction is expected to be finished in 2021. The location of the stations is determined with the masterplan of the city of Kyiv and the design task from client. The section of the designed metro line unites the four stations with a holistic architectural concept, which determines all the spatial and facing solutions. It was decided to choose the minimalistic style of stations. The general concept is the conciseness and modernity of the solution of the line as a whole, but the allocation of each station through the selection of unique materials. The interiors of the stations are designed by laconic architectural forms with using of durable materials. Architectural solutions are based on identifying the aesthetic qualities of structures and the expressiveness of facing materials. Natural stone (granite) was chosen as the main facing material at the stations; tempered glass - in exit pavilions; solid and perforated fiber-cement panels - for improving sound absorption at stations platforms.
