ABOUT ME

WORK EXPERIENCE

For the last 2 years I have been working at Brown Studio. My portfolio includes big brands like Adidas and Warehouse and family bussiness like Handmade Burger. They range from retail to hospitality. At Brown Studio we are a small team. That means each designer is required to get involved at every level of the project. Also, my colleagues and me have been involved in many projects at the same time, always keeping a collaborative and very fast pace working environment. I am a perfectionist designer and I enjoy the dedication needed to produce outstanding spaces.

2015/ PRESENT

Middleweight interior architect Brown studio In charge to supervise the team from initial concept to full completion of projects.

2014/ 2015

Interior Advisor OKA Design Understanding precisely what the client wants and needs and suggesting design ideas that incorporate functionality and aesthetics.

My role at Brown Studio involves all stages, from the design process to the work on-site. Also, a big part of my role is the direct contact with the client, understanding their needs and working towards developing the design of the project using the clients’ ideas. An important side of my job, sometimes overlooked, is the relationship with contractors and suppliers. I like taking care of this side of the projects as it normally makes the difference. In the last year I have found myself working simultaneously in 10 projects at the same time, and in charge of a small team of 2 junior designers. This last year has unveiled the skill of managing a team. I would like to keep applying my eye for detail and my listening skills to encourage my team to create the most amazing spaces.

Handmade Burger Co is a family own business specialised in high-quality burgers. Three years ago, the owners decided to look for a new look for their restaurants to create a fresher concept that reflects their philosophy, honesty and good quality. Industrial meets tradition to achieve an everybody-is-welcome look. “We needed a fresh, crisp and, edgy look with a familiar touch where families and younger generations can meet without feeling out of place.� Every site is different, related to the industrial history of the city where the restaurant is located, giving each restaurant its own personality and character within the same style. I started to be involved on these projects as an assistant to become head designer within 6 months, having a team of two junior designers to assist in my team. We designed more than 10 restaurants in different cities around England. My responsibilities varied from concept design to tender drawings, visualisations, on-site meetings and supervising that everything that was built was according to the original design.

Wildwood is a small collection of restaurants that serves freshly prepared food. The idea is simple: to serve great food delivered by friendly staff in a relaxed, homely environment. For this project, we aimed for a familiar, welcoming and, elegant style. The goal was to design a space where you could relax in an artisan and elegant environment. With several locations, from shopping centres to listed buildings, the design of this site had to adjust to the space and respect its features. Calm colours meet unfinished metal surfaces and polished wood to create an eclectic but classic look, where you can feel comfortable and challenged at the same time.

Bar / Entrance

Restaurant

Browns department store is an independent family owned business that opened their first store in York in 1890. The brief for this project was simple but challenging: to give a new look to a very successful space without alienating the loyal costumers and attracting a younger generation into the cafe and restaurant without structural intervention. Respecting the historical parts of the building, we aimed to create a classic and calm space with Nordic inspiration, where you can disconnect from a long day of shopping or come in for a perfect afternoon tea. Front Room

One of the main issues we faced in this space was the lack of visibility from the store. As a solution, we creates a bar outside the restaurant where you can just relax and have a glass of Prosecco while you wait for a table.

Adidas Boutique

The HomeCourt stores are designed to bring fans a truly interactive retail experience, with this new store concept inspired by the sights and sounds of a sports stadium. Shoppers enter the store via a stadium tunnel, kicking off the in-store experience. At the heart of the store is the Shoebase area, which includes and interactive table with two large touchscreens to help customers find the right product and connect directly to the Adidas’ online shop. Every element of the store has been designed to make shoppers feel like they are in their very own sports arena. Shoppers get immersed in the sports stadium experience from the moment they enter. Working with the Adidas team in Germany, we helped develop the concept for the specifics of the site providing both design, implementation and project management.

Warehouse London is the name of the Warehouse concessions all over the world. BODEN


Boden is a British clothing retailer selling primarily online and by mail order. Founded in 1991 as a mail-order business, in 2016 they decided to materialise a new concept in a Mock Shop. The store concept focuses on recreating a home, giving the customer a new shopping experience. The idea is to provide a space where you feel as if you were in your own living room. This is achieved through a series of rooms, divided with metal and glass frames, soft and natural colours and smooth finishes. We designed every aspect of the store from the way the customer will be welcomed into the space to the fitting rooms and fixtures.

Marks & Spencer growing active wear department needed a new special area to display and create a lifestyle collection. The goal was to create a destination point within their stores where customers will feel attracted to. For this project we had to play with the challenge of minimal intervention and cost that we sorted by adding colours, panels and cladding to existing fixtures.

- Feature table with routed timber ends - Double sided unit that allows for flexible table top display with space for larger and folded items below - Shelves and mannequin plinth can be removed and swapped around for flexibility and reformatting depending on space available
