DESCRIPTION
FEED, WEIGH, TOTALIZE AND CONTROL DELIVERY RATE OF A WIDE VARIETY OF BULK MATERIALS. LOAD-OUT OR BATCHING CONTROL SERVICE I N WHICH A PRE-DETERMINED TOTAL QUANTITY OF MATERIAL IS DELIVERED. 6 RATIO OR PROPORTIONING CONTROL SERVICE I N WHICH TWO OR MORE MATERIALS ARE COMBINED I N A PREDETERMINED BUT ADJUSTABLE RATIO.
The Ramsey Model 10-95 "Aug-R-WeigKTMweighing screw feeder is a unique device expressly designed for feeding and/or proportioning dry granular and powdered materials in the range of 10,000 to 300,000 lbs./hr. The entire "Aug-R-WeigKTM feeder assembly is totally enclosed. The prefeeder screw is hnge-connected to the bottom of the material bin or silo and is of requisite length, diameter, speed and capacity. The prefeeder screw is driven by a DC motor (with associated SCR power supply) through a shaft mounted gear reducer. The weighing screw assembly is of comparable capacity and is pivoted at the center-line of the discharge of the prefeeder screw with trunnion type, frictionless pivots. The discharge end of the weighing screw assembly is supported by the Ramsey tension type weight transducer. The Ramsey wKght transducer utilizes the displacement of a simple, steel load beam to produce, through a different transformer, an electrical signal proportional to loading in lbs./ft. A digital speed pick-up device continuously measures the weighing screw feeder shaft rotational speed and produces a proportional output signal. The weight and speed signals are continuously combined in a speed multiplier circuit (housed in the Model 40-155 Totalizer -see TDS 40-103) to produce an output signal proportional to lbs./ hr, or TPH. This signal, in turn, may be used for purposes of totalizing, recording and controlling. Excellent balance of the entire pivoted weighing screw assembly results in essentially zero tare load on the weight transducer with no material in the screw. As a consequence, the unit is extremely sensitive to and accurately weighs very low density materials.
