RECULT Company Description: If we would like to consider the different ways of ethical dressing, wearing vintage should be one of the first things that pops up. It is the opposite of throwaway fashion, and of course, one of the best ways to be rare and tradable. Re-wearing garments with a past also displaces the need to create new fibres and pollute our precious environment with all the dyeing and finishing processes, not to mention the huge amount of water we use. Thus, from an environmental point of view, wearing contemporary secondhand garments and vintage clothes, does not require the use of existing resources like water or petroleum. We are a company based on the idea of creating new designs from used garments, and take a step to make a difference against the huge amount of waste we generate while producing new materials for new garments. Our main goal is to boost consumer's consciousness towards the idea of sustainability in production and make them obtain clothing made of waste materials. In order to accomplish our belief, we want to establish a community, where we will provide an old, undesirable clothing with an added second life, so that it could be used further again. We would like to provide redesigned clothes from materials that has a high durability and can be used on a long term both because of the highly selected materials and the internal designs. Mission: Our mission is to inspire people to adapt a more creative way of thinking when it comes to used garments. We would like to redesign new and unique pieces from waste materials in order to boost consumer consciousness towards overproduction and waste. Vision: We would like to create valued individual experiences by encouraging consumer to discover the new instead of sticking to the traditional idea of consumption.
