THE ECOLOGICAL PARK ICTOCRUZ DESCRIPTION The Ecological Park Ictocruz is the first urban park in the city to be recovered with endemic species. The reforestation of the site was raised based on an analysis of nearby mountain ecosystems, we leave behind purely ornamental criteria in favor of a natural environmental recovery. The project has zones of universal accessibility, and also integrates routes for the use of bicycles. During the project design, awareness raising activities were generated on the site, which included the presentation of the proposal and symbolic reforestation with the main users of the park.
PROPOSAL The park will create a new recreation center in Turi that will bring a series of economic, social and environmental benefits to the community and the city. Eroded areas will be reforested with native trees and shrubs to gradually recover the mountain as a large natural forest. Hiking trails Taking advantage of some existing roads, there are several walking routes complemented by smaller rest structures. Bleachers will be built in the sections that the slope deserves and bridges to cross the ravines. The trail will be marked with vegetation and signage.
