Creating collaborative access

In 2022, JumpStart and Verizon opened two community-focused, technology-based learning centers strategically located within the Union-Miles and Clark-Fulton neighborhoods of Cleveland.

The Verizon Community Forward learning centers offer free technology-focused training to Cleveland residents for lifelong STEM learning, industryspecific job development and small business growth. For historically disconnected communities, proximity to educational resources reduces barriers to access, helping to bridge the digital divide.

Verizon is pleased to partner with JumpStart on the Verizon Community Forward learning centers. These centers will provide hubs of activity in the Cleveland community that help increase exposure to technology, STEM education and digital skills training, ensuring that both youth and adults are provided with the resources needed to prepare for an increasingly digital economy.”
