The team implemented a double skin ETFE for the exterior that spiralled towards the pitch and complementary designs for the exterior concourse, public circulation and VIP areas.
Dalian Sports Arena Sports Complex Dalian, China Proposed interior design and finishes for the Arena’s public and VIP spaces. Designed in 3d, then unrolled interior spaces to communicate design concepts to LDI. Design used a system of GRFC panels for curved walls, suspended ceiling for recessed lights, and entry canopy at the lobby.

Participated in the conceptual design and design development for the Dalian Sport Center’s dedicated hotel. Studied hotel program mix, room dimensions and layout, and massing on site. Proposed a semi-permeable skin that provided seemless transitions for the canopy, the lobby, and the conference areas.
Re-designed exterior structure and overhang to provide a fluid open roof for the competition pool areas. Collaborated with LDI to improve the exterior metal panels. Also provided interior design package for public spaces.

Bunker Hills Proposal Residential Los Angeles, California The new amenity is part of the rebranding effort for the Bunker Hill residential towers. It will contain new MEP equipment, a new leasing office, a 4,000 SF gym in a two level building that wraps the curving Flower St. At the pool deck level, there is a community room and articulated cooling tower.
Super Center Commercial and Hospitality Abuja, Nigeria As part of larger team, worked with a global hotel chain to study feasibility of a complex site and program. Program contains two hotels with a large conferencing component, two hotel-condos, and three story mall. Devised strategies for guest experience, circulation, security, and back of house services.
Avenue of the Arts Residential Costa Mesa, California At a 750 unit residential complex, explored with client various options for renovating and rebranding their leasing office and three level clubhouse. Scope also includes entry sequence, landscaping, as well as refreshing 250 units and corridors.

Dalian Convention Tower Commercial Dalian, China Concept design for a 30 story iconic convention tower for Dalian’s exhibition center. Sited 25km north of Dalian, the convention tower is a combination of ballrooms, meeting spaces and hotel tower. After programming and massing studies we decided with a tall podium base with sharp sail-like tower.

Xi’an Port Offices Commercial Xi’an Port, China Concept design for a new headquarter and offices in Xi’an’s new city center. Proposed a revealing curtain effect with faceted curtain wall glazing. Experimented with curving glass, faceted glass, and mullion cap extrusions for the final effect.
Xi’an Mixed-Use Mixed-Use Xi’an, China Conceptual proposal for a five story mall with twin office towers at each end. Design explored the concept of continuing vertical and horizontal surfaces to unite the office towers with the mall.
