What should I bring along for a consultation or assessment at the Podiatry clinic? Please bring along your own footwear as well as previous insoles and medication for your feet. What should I wear when I visit the Podiatry clinic? Wear / bring along a set of clothes that does not restrict your movements, e.g. Shorts and T-shirt. Part of your arms and legs may be revealed during the assessment.

Alexandra Hospital’s Podiatrists treat and manage various foot-related conditions, such as pain in the lower limb, walking abnormalities and management of skin and nail conditions of the foot. Our Podiatrists, together with a multi-disciplinary team comprising Sports Physiotherapists, Orthopaedic Surgeons and Vascular Surgeons, ensure our patients receive holistic and coordinated care for their feet.
What is Podiatry? Podiatry is the study, diagnosis and treatment of disorders in the foot, ankle, and lower limbs.
Diabetes Foot Care and Foot Screening
Foot Pain
Patients with Diabetes face a higher risk of developing foot problems. Through careful assessment and evaluation of the foot or wound conditions, our Podiatrists help identify a patient’s diabetic foot risks and needs and treat accordingly. Our Podiatrists can provide advice on footwear, self-care and appropriate dressings to help patients better manage their foot problems and prevent further complications.
Patients who are experiencing pain in their lower limb whether they are exercising or at rest, are advised to arrange for a consultation at our Podiatry clinic for a Biomechanical assessment.
