The VIS & BVIS Statistical Commission is an initiative of the President of NORCECA, Mr. Cristobal Marte. It was formed in 2009.
The main objective of our Commission is: "The constant development of human resources and technology, allowing us to provide statistical information on competitions in an effective way".

Our FIVB Development Center in the Dominican Republic held, from May 17 to 20, 2011, the first International Data Volley and Data Video Course. It was led by instructors James Wilroy, Director of Training for Data Project (United States) and Yeivic Jimenez, statistician (Venezuela).

Representatives from the National Federations of Mexico, Anguilla, Antigua, St. Kitts, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Trinidad & Tobago, El Salvador, Guadalupe, Nicaragua, Honduras, Peru and the Dominican Republic.

The electronic scoresheet will be tested in Norceca The volleyball electronic score sheet will be tested in several Norceca competitions this year, as the beginning of a process for final adoption of the system in 2014.

World Grand Prix Mayag端ez, Puerto Rico July 2013
The Puerto Rican Volleyball Federation hosted a course about the electronic score sheet to be used during the stage of the World Grand Prix in Mayag端ez. The course was attended by 20 scorers and statisticians and was offered by International instructor, Yeivic Jimenez (Venezuela).

The President of the VIS Statistical Commission of NORCECA, Judith Sandino, led a training seminar for the use of the electronic score sheet. In May, a similar workshop was held in Nicaragua with the participation of International and Local Referees as well as VIS personnel.

The NORCECA Confederation continues to implement the use of the electronic score sheet. Instructor Yeivic Jimenez of Venezuela led a workshop on the occasion of the FIVB U23 Women's World Championship, recently held in the cities of Tijuana and Mexicali.
