Pinochle Club

Mondays, 1–3 pm Pinochle players, we have a club just for you! Somersett’s pinochle club welcomes new or advanced players for three or four-handed pinochle. Join us for this casual drop-in game here at the Club on Monday afternoons.

Acoustic Circle Jam

Sundays May 12 & 26 and June 9 & 23,

5–7 pm | Media Room Join the Circle Jam and improve your presentation and supporting player skills while broadening your musical horizons with like-minded vocalists and instrumentalists in a fun, positive environment. Music will range from ’60s to current acoustic music: folk, rock, Beatles, Neil, Eagles, Jackson, Blues or whatever you are into. Guitars, ukuleles and singers are all welcome. No amplifiers, please! Investment Roundtable Discussions

Tuesdays, May 7 & June 11, 6–7 pm | Media Room Karen Vibe, financial advisor and portfolio management director at Morgan Stanley in Reno, has created a monthly forum for sharing investment knowledge and engaging in open-minded discussion. All adults are welcome to attend. This is not a seminar or a sales presentation, but rather a platform for dialogue with access to a financial advisor right here in your neighborhood. Coffee & Treats with Staff

Residents are invited to join Club and Association staff for an informal meeting at the Club at Town Center. Enjoy coffee and treats as you get to know SOA staff and learn all about your community, the Club and the Canyon Nine.

Mah Jongg

Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1–4:30 pm Mah Jongg is a challenging tile game that originated in China, and we’re playing it at the Club with the National Mah Jongg League rules and play card. Join us on Tuesdays and Thursdays to play or just watch, and feel free to bring a snack and non-alcoholic beverage.

Bridge Club

Wednesdays, 2:30–5 pm Join fellow bridge lovers for intermediate bridge at the Club. We usually have two to four tables, and we strive for complete tables so that everyone enjoys their playing time. Art & Painting Club

Fridays, 10 am–12 pm Work on your latest painting or art project at the Club on Fridays and enjoy a bit of creative energy. We kindly ask that you do not bring oil paints due to their strong odor. Feel free to bring a snack or nonalcoholic beverage.

Board Game Club

Third Sunday of each month (May 19 and June 16), 2–5 pm Media Room Join us on the third Sunday of each month to play board games. You can bring your own to play or learn a new game.

Book Club

Wednesdays May 15 & June 19, 7–9 pm In May, our community book club will read The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon and in June we will read The Radium Girls by Kate Moore.

Knitting & Crocheting Club

Mondays, 10 am–12 pm Bring your knitting or crochet basket to the Club on Mondays, where you can work on your latest project and pass the time with like-minded neighbors. Feel free to pack a snack or non-alcoholic beverage to enjoy.
