Studio Location Studio: 232 Third Street suite E200 (2nd floor across from the elevator), Brooklyn, NY 11215 We are the corner of Third Avenue opposite Whole Foods. 917-309-2133
Course of events Please arrive 5 minutes before your scheduled session time. You can help your child or children get familiar with the area and do any last minute preparations. Always feel free to email or call prior with questions. Allow at least 45 minutes for the shoot and decision making.
What to bring
Expression Sessions: Music, songs you can sing, favorite book, toys, lovie, accessories that are goofy, cute or special. Kids might take a minute to warm up so you can let them know in advance that they are going to get to be silly. And that you will be silly too :-0 Bring a treat for the end and something they can do while we look at images. Little Artist Sessions Bring 20-40 pieces of artwork, some can be 3 dimensional, or wearable.
What to wear Lots of things will work, but bring a couple of options, hair clips if your child likes them, needs them. The only thing that won’t work is if the shirt has a big single graphic on the front. Better to go with solids or patterns, any color that looks good on your kids.
Preparations - some guidelines for our photo session Please make sure the children were fed recently have clean faces, check corners of the eye, and noses Apply a little lip balm and keep everyone hydrated.
Decide now - are you choosing an Expression session or a Little Artist session? For your Expresssion session you can choose a white background or a gray background. The white is a pure white and is a little more modern. The gray is a venetian plastered wall and is a little more classic.
Process
Expression Sessions Right after we shoot, we choose 20 images together that you like and create the grid right then and there! We do not put these images online so come prepared with ideas where you might hang it and measure the space so you know what size is a good fit and if you would like gifts for grandparents, or artwork in your office. Little Artist Sessions Right after we shoot, we choose your aerial image, then we choose 10-20 other images for a storyboard of individual artworks with your child. I create the grid right then and there with your input. Payment Session is complimentary with a minimum order of $185. We can take check, cash or credit cards.
