Fully involving youth and young adult volunteers in the American Red Cross means integrating youth into every line of service delivery, utilizing youth volunteers as a strategic organizational resource at all levels, and giving youth volunteers the proper support they need to thrive and reach their full potential. Red Cross youth volunteers have a proud history, first serving with the establishment of the Junior Red Cross in 1917.
