Biography of Justin Riggin

Justin Riggin is an entrepreneur and small business owner based in Georgia. He is an engineer, builder, and leader in manufacturing and construction. Justin is also a dedicated father and community servant.

A licensed general contractor and land developer, Justin was influenced and inspired early in his life by two key figures: his maternal grandfather, an industrial designer, and his great uncle, an industrial engineer During annual mission trips to work on Habitat for Humanity projects, he began building at a young age.

He has extensive experience working on an array of construction projects, including single-family homes, multi-family housing, high-rise buildings, retail, office, government, heavy industrial, utility, wastewater, and educational/institutional projects during his career

Hard at Work from the Ground Up

Justin is the Principal of Industrial Water Solutions in Atlanta, which he started in 2023. The company provides water treatment solutions for manufacturers and municipalities. He is primarily responsible for running the day-to-day operations and finance.

He is also a Director at Atlanta-based Bonavic Construction, a full-service commercial general contractor and custom home builder in Alabama, Florida, and Georgia. Justin is responsible for planning, budgeting, and executing single-family and multi-family developments. Through his commitment to excellence and professionalism, he has continued to exceed industry standards by developing solid professional partnerships based on integrity, ingenuity, and reliability.

In addition to his work at Industrial Water Solutions and Bonavic Construction, Justin is a managing member of Key Services Company, a consultancy company located in Atlanta. He is responsible for program management, capital planning and execution, and quality management and optimization for the commercial and industrial sectors. Justin has worked on various projects, including Equalization Facility Upgrades in Cartersville, Georgia; Storm Infrastructure Improvements in Emerson, Georgia; and Hardscapes Improvements in midtown Atlanta, Georgia.

Prior Work Experience

Justin Riggin has held several positions and worked on many projects throughout his nearly 20-year career. This included serving as the Operation Manager at Carroll Daniel Construction, where he was responsible for capital planning, budgeting, and execution. His projects included the Learning Academy at Woodson Park Academy,  the Education Center at Grove Park YMCA, and Campbell High School Renovations.

Years earlier, Justin also worked at Carroll Daniel Construction as Superintendent, where he was responsible for scheduling development and execution, preconstruction planning, utilization management of daily construction activities, including sequencing, quality control, safety, and third-party inspections.

He was the Director of Engineering at Doehler North America, with similar responsibilities as at Carroll Daniel Construction. He worked on the Doehler Teawolf R&D Lab & Office Expansion project in Pine Brook, NJ, the Menu Collective CoLaboratory, Office & Food Service Building in Chicago, the Doehler USA Sales Office in Chicago, and the DUSA Refrigerated Warehouse in Cartersville, GA, among other projects.

His first position after graduating from Auburn University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction was with Balfour Beatty Construction as Superintendent. There he worked on various projects, including a 55,000 square-foot Whole Foods in midtown Atlanta, the Icon Midtown, a 40-story high rise, Alta Midtown Apartments, the South Forsyth High School Gym & Classroom addition and renovations, CH Gullatt Elementary School, Wheeler Performing Arts Center, Wheeler Competition Gymnasium, Dorothy Height Elementary School, Aaron Cohn Middle School, Mint Hill High School, Markets at Town Center Mall in Jacksonville, FL, Best Buy, Avenue Mall- Murfreesboro, TN (a 100-acre site development with 800,000 square feet of office and retail space) Dick’s Sporting Goods, and many others.

While at Auburn University, Justin interned at Coastal Builders, Inc. in Mobile, Alabama. He was the Assistant to the Project Manager. His tasks included procurement, budgeting, billing, trade coordination, and scheduling for projects that included the Lighthouse Condos in Orange Beach, AL; the San Carlos Condos in Orange Beach; the Alabama Orthopedic Group OR in Mobile; and the Mary B Austin Elementary School in Mobile.

While attending school, Justin also worked as a General Tradesman/Labor Foreman for Rabren General Contractors on projects that included the Auburn Math & Science Building, Auburn University Hotel & Conference Center, and Auburn Mall.

Certifications

Justin has earned several certifications: NASCLA, Georgia General Contractor GCQA007534, OSHA 30 Hour, Georgia NPDES- Level 1A Certified, TDEC (Tennessee Department of Environment & Conservation) Level 1 Certified, Alabama Real Estate 60 Hour Course, Temporary AL Real Estate License 2006, and AHA First Aid Trained, ASHI Certified.

Justin’s Time Off

Justin loves spending time with his children. He enjoys the outdoors, running, reading, riding, hiking, cooking, and gardening. He also enjoys research projects and reading academic studies.

Justin Riggin has participated in the Rotary Club’s Annual Smoke on the Lake BBQ Competition in Acworth, Georgia. An annual tradition on Mother’s Day weekend, thousands attend to enjoy BBQ cooked by competitive backyard cook teams. The cook teams are subject to public judging on chicken wings on Friday night and pork on Saturday The Rotary Club of North Cobb hosts this charity fundraiser event, with 90% of net proceeds benefiting local charities and 10% benefiting charities outside the United States.

In addition, Justin has donated to the Extension, Wycliffe Ministries.
