A few years ago she started using thread, stitching in plastic and embroidery arts. She attended pattern designing courses at the Mod’Art International School of Paris in 2007as well as the Sofia Cenzano School of Lima in 2009 after having specialized in Painting at the Art Faculty of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru. This sort of experiences gave her the motivation and her own interpretation to grasp the concept of art. Since the ancient period the craft of embroidery remains unchanged. So now this ancient handicraft has the room for innovation that Ana Teresa Barboza has embroidered natural landscapes which spill out of their wooden frames.
