PROJECT 01A SPATIAL OPERATION STUDY

Find an object/ phenomenon that relate to this spatial operation: ENVELOPE. Analyse this object to understand how with this volumetric manipulation, this object shall result in a new function and value.

PROJECT 01B PRECEDENT STUDIES As a group, produce a series of architectural diagram and model of the selected precedent studies, analysing spatial operation & condition, and investigate the formal and spatial characteristic of each work to illustrate and communicate architectural spatial qualities.

PROJECT 02A SITE ANALYSIS + USER PROFILE Various aspect of site study, then determine the best 1250sqm within site for building demarcation.

PROJECT 02A USER PROFILE Interview two students from chosen faculty or school within the UCSI campus to generate TWO student profile to analyse things in common and differences.

PROJECT 02B ADAPTATION TO CONTEXT The art of building is not only forms and shapes but to look at how to design a building that adapts to the topography of site through its depths, how to create space that allow you to experience the environment, how to design for the present with awareness from the past.

Develop your own design process and technical skills with greater selfassurance and individuality, as well as articulate ideas with greater clarity and conviction.

FACETED-HAGANE

By remaining most of the landscape elements (the vegetations and the exisiting contours) and seeking inspiration from origami fashion to replicate the contour and a mountain-like building to have a relationship to Bukit Besi, this carefully thought intricate building is born.
