Setting A fairytale marriage in a castle was the dream of Rachel and Richard. Their chance meeting came about through mutual friends nearly five years ago in a night club in Tunbridge Wells and it was love at first sight. Business came in the way of naming the day but their plans were being kindled and at last on 1st June last year the couple were married at Wadhurst Castle in East Sussex.

Plans and preparations For the following year they enthusiastically made plans and preparations for the big day 27th June. They had decided to tie the knot at Sidcup Registry Office where they had invited 50 friends and family to witness their vows. Tina had chosen a full length off-theshoulder figure-hugging dress with silvery beaded band. She carried a bouquet made up with pink gerbera daisies with white roses and lilies, and was attended by four bridesmaids, of whom two were her teenage daughters, wearing fuchsia pink dresses, carrying smaller posies reflecting the colours of the bride.

Phil’s two granddaughters wearing ivory dresses, made up the quartet. Phil and his best man wore Prince Edward suits, with silver waistcoats and cravats. During the ceremony the groom carefully placed the wedding ring on his new wife’s finger. The ring in white gold was finished with a bright centre band with a brushed finish on either edge. Tina reciprocated by placing a similar ring on Phil’s finger.
Venue setting The venue for their reception was the village hall at Farningham, Kent where they celebrated the day with their guests. The wedding breakfast took the form of a buffet where informality was the key and speeches were kept to a minimum. The cake, a single tier style was decorated by Tina. After which a disco encouraged everyone to have a good time.
Relaxed photography Lorraine Smith (All Special Memories Photography) took all the photographs and both Tina and Phil were delighted with the gentle way she moved among the guests taking informal and formal photographs, “which we never tire of browsing through, reminding us of the happiest day of our lives,” reflected Tina.
