Established 1914 — South Carolina’s First Church of God College and Career Fellowship The College & Career group will be going out to eat tonight following the evening service. Anyone who would like to join us is welcome to do so. If you are interested in going please see Trish Mayer.

Do You Have An Elder? If you are new to the church, you should have received a letter letting you know who your elder is. If you have not been assigned an elder, or you don’t know who your elder is, please see Pastor Scottie.

Deacon Meeting We will have a meeting for all deacons on Monday, May 17, at 4:00pm in the fellowship hall. Please see Pastor Scottie if you have a scheduling confilict.

Senior Adult Retreat Only two weeks until the Senior Adult Retreat in Mauldin. Our money has been sent in and we just need to gather canned goods for the Home for Children (or bring a donation). Also, they request that as many as will to dress in a costume that you made for the games on Saturday morning! How creative are you? You will be contacted individually concerning last minute details, and if you have questions, contact Romelle. Let’s have lots of fun!

Elders Meeting There will be a meeting for all elders on Monday, May 17, at 7:00pm in the fellowship hall. Please see Pastor Scottie if you have a scheduling conflict. Youth Camp 2010 Ministry Camp | Ages 13–18 • June 14–18 Mini Camp | Ages 6–9 • June 29–July 2 Junior Camp | Ages 12–14 • July 5–9 Intermediate Camp | Ages 10–11 • July 12–16 Senior Camp | Ages 15–18 • July 19–23 Revival Services We will be in revival Sunday, May 30 through Wednesday, June 2, with evangelist Neal Nolan. The service times are: Sunday morning 10:45, Sunday evening at picnic after the dinner, and Monday through Wednesday beginning at 7:00pm. Please make plans to attend. Be in prayer for a fresh touch in your life and in our church. Church Picnic Our Memorial Day picnic will be Sunday evening, May 30, at 4:00pm at the Duke Power Recreation Center. There is a playground, basketball goals, beach area, free parking, and plenty of lake! There will be balloons at the entrance of the recreation center to help you locate the facility. We will eat at 5:00pm, so come early for some fun and fellowship. The church will provide all the hamburger meat and you can sign up to bring the rest. Sign up sheet is in the foyer!

Women’s Ministries Camp Meeting Luncheon The annual SC Women’s Ministries Camp Meeting Luncheon will be held Thursday, June 24, at 11:00am at the Praise Cathedral dining hall. The special guest will be the Voices of Lee from Lee University. The cost is $20.00. Please turn in your money to Melissa Hager by Sunday, May 30, if you are interested in attending. Attention Parents! To ensure the safety of all of our children, please do not leave your children for Sunday School or Wednesday night classes unless their teacher is present. Thank you for your help in this matter. Yummy Pancakes, Good Bargains, and a Clean Car To Boot The Children’s Ministry will have a yard sale, car wash, and pancake breakfast on Saturday, May 22. Pancake breakfast is $4.00 for adults, $3.00 for children 11 and under, and goes from 7:00am to 11:00am. Car wash will be on a donation basis. Your support will benefit our children’s ministries and Wednesday night programs. Please see one of the Children’s Department leaders or parents to get your tickets.

May 16, 2010 Attention Children’s Workers and Parents We will set up for the Children’s yard sale Friday, May 21, from 6:00 to 8:00pm. We would greatly appreciate anyone who can come out and help. We will also still be accepting donations that night. Also, anyone interested is contributing by donating baked goods to sell would be greatly appreciated as well! Thanks so much! Usher Meeting Current ushers and those wishing to serve as ushers should meet with Dino Turpin and the pastor next Sunday, May 23, following the morning service. Special Thanks Thank you from the Holbrooks family for your many gifts and prayers. They appreciate and love you all. Graduate Recognition Service We will be honoring our graduates during the morning service on June 6. This will be for all of those who have recently graduated or who will be graduating high school or college this year. Please fill out a graduate information sheet located in the Information Center then give the form to Russell by Sunday, May 30, along with a few pictures of yourself that will be used for a short slide show during the service. Support Our Church With United Scrip United Scrip is available for virtually anything you normally purchase, from groceries to gas to restaurants and more. Start using United Scrip and help the church out at the same time. See Ruby Addis or Doris Kelley for more information.

AMP Kids Shirt Sale The children’s department is taking orders for AMP (All My Praise) t-shirts. Each shirt costs just $12.00. If you are interested in ordering a shirt, please see Trish or George by May 30. Special note: anyone who sells five tickets to the pancake breakfast on May 22 will receive a free t-shirt. That Famous “Information Center” and Other Important Information You’ll find a number of references to our Information Center in the bulletin. Just so you know, the Information Center is located on your right as you enter the foyer from the front parking lot. A men’s rest room is located adjacent to the Information Center. The women’s rest room is located to the left as you enter the front foyer from the parking lot. Rest rooms are also available in the rear foyer area. The nursery is located in the rear of the building. The educational facility across the street houses our children’s worship center (the old sanctuary) and classrooms for both Sunday School and Wednesday night classes. The fellowship hall is the block building across the street. One of our greeters can help you if you need assistance.

Softball Tournament Concessions — The youth will be operating the concession stand at Shaver Complex in Seneca for the women’s softball tournament on May 21 and 22. We would like for our youth to take two hour shifts. Please see Russell to sign up. We will be selling hotdogs, so any donations of buns, wieners, or even cash would be appreciated.
