Alma Mexicana ( soul of Mexico) is a five star luxury urban resort hotel, nested in the heart of Mexico city’s downtown urban scene. True to the hotel’s name the design of the hotel captures the essence of the Mexican culture and rich history in a modern setting fit for the fast growing downtown urban-scape. The hotel’s atmosphere is welcoming, festive, eclectic and amusing true to the Alma Mexicana. Rich textures, bold colors and strong geometry are framed in an elegant contemporary design.

GUEST ROOM Strong sculptural forms, clean lines and location aware design with attention to details catering to the users’ every need. Paying homage to the Aztec architecture the room is designed to have a strong geometric canopy highlighting the most important area in a hotel room ; the bed. The custom design canopy appears floating against the black walls , ceiling and the ambient light. User centered design allows for state of the art master control of lights and electronics from the comfort of the bed. “Creativity is contagious, pass it on” Albert Einstein

BIOGRAPHY 05

BIO Born in Saudi Arabia to a Turkish native family, I graduated with a bachelor of science in Interior Design from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Post graduation, I worked in a reputable interior design firm that specialized in commercial spaces. I decided to move to the US a year after for a higher education and international exposure . Having just graduated with an MFA in Interior Architecture and Design at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA, I have explored space planning and design concepts in Commercial, Hospitality, Residential and Retail projects with emphasis on creating detailed construction documents. I am interested in design in all its’ varied forms and especially passionate about interior space planning and design, I find myself immersed in every meticulous detail and precise measurement. I believe in designing not only spaces but experiences that cater to all aspects of culture and society while withstanding the test of time.
