MY CURRENT EVENTS OF THE SPORT AUTOMOBILE
The season is started ! We go out of the winter, the endurance Championships resumed. This winter break has enabled all teams to develop their projects and work on the cars. The first appointment was Sebring. New Audi were not day, Peugeot has ground its 2011 model. Personally I have followed the race on the internet. Real pleasure to find the novelties of ORECA, OAK, Highcroft and Rebellion. I discovered the F458 and the M3, the Corvettes were also in competition. Victory of the Peugeot 908 HDI of the ORECA team. The championships are now almost all launched, apart from GT3 and Le Mans Series !
Le Mans Series & International Le Mans Cup LMS begins at le Castellet circuit Paul Ricard (5.8 km). Small plateau but a lot of interesting things. I note the beginnings of AMR One and Pescarolo Team. That will give the large engine V10 Judd of 5 l on 6 hours? There are the beautiful Lola of the Rebellion and the QuifelASM Team Zytek, which appeared in the grand circus ! In LMP2, I would tend to my interest in the Zytek Motorsport Greaves Nissan. I will keep with attention the GTE category. It should not be a fight between the F458 and Porsche 911 GT3 RSR 997. I look forward to the stable Young Driver and his Vantage. However I regret the absence of the BMW M3, especially after Sebring! In my view, the teams come test their cars on a race to 6 hours without any real issue, this to prepare for Le Mans! It will be interesting to observe the engines installed in Toyota, Nissan and Honda. For ILMC, the season will continue in Europe, at Spa. This race is for two Championships: LMS and LICR. What make the major teams is very important, it is the first European race. The Belgian circuit of 7 km knows a true success, races of all types follow at a steady pace. What about Sebring? ORECA has demonstrated that his car, coupled with a good race strategy, allows of good hope (in this Championship!). Spa will take place a month before Le Mans. Who will come to the race 6 hours ?
American Le Mans Series The first step was Sebring. It was impressive! More than 50 cars race on a circuit of 5,95 km! And this track ! Historical and strange ! The next race will take place in Long Beach, it will be a test of 2 H ! Urban circuit of 3.2 km. I look forward the list of participants. I dare not imagine a plateau of the size of Sebring on the runway of Long Beach! all the large stables of PML are in Europe. My forecast: a few protos, probably Americans, and a large packet of GT, with the Corvettes, the Ferrari F458, the BMW M3 and the Porsche. See: Jaguar !
THE 24 HEURES OF LE MANS Test day will be held April 24. On this occasion, we are entering the “Court of the Greats�: a very complete entry list with all tenors. A surprise for me, the presence of the FLM ! Whether in LMP1, LMP2 and GTE, all the big teams are announced. And it will be after the Castellet test ! OAK, ORECA, HPD and Lola will be in LMP1 and LMP2 Audi and Peugeot will be driving the 2011 models. Case to follow !

MY CURRENT EVENTS OF THE SPORT AUTOMOBILE It will be seen, in GTE, the BMW M3 ! Note a single CORVETTE (Larbre) but with the support of the official team. Robertson comes with 2 Doran-Ford , for me not a sufficient level to make us forget the Matech ! 458 Ferrari and the Porsche 911 RSR will be explained with BMW M3. 2 Aston Martin One should be present..
FIA GT1 World Championship SRO invites us to Zolder April 10 for the 2nd round of the Championship. Important question: all cars will be on the entry list ? Abu Dhabi : we saw a very nice end of race with this beautiful fight between Hexis and JMR. An another team with Aston Martin complete the podium. I stayed on my hunger with Belgian Ford ! Bravo for the live tv on site GT1.
My « coup de cœur » : the mens of the shadow The mechanicians, magicians, who love their cars and their job. We see them run around the car, change the wheels, complete the tank during stops ! We also see them, in graver moments, "operating" a car which goes into the pit box. But there is all which precedes and all which follows. It is necessary to prepare cars, to set up chassis and engines. After the race, it is the opposite, they tidy the equipment, they load trucks and.. road towards the factory ! There are also the people of pitlane, the guys of the telemetry, the mens of the paddock and all those who work behind, so that all can work, eat, drink, sleep! To move 2 cars from North America to Europe, it represents a work which it is necessary to discover. Certain videos (for example, the excellent series of Corvette Racing on YouTube) show the work and the craze of these teams.
