Hong Kong has over 7.5 million residents of various nationalities in a 1,104-square-kilometre territory, Hong Kong is one of the most densely populated places in the world.
In 2020, the average living space of public rental housing tenants in Hong Kong was 13.4 square meter per person.
Hong Kong has more inhabitants living at the 15th floor or higher, and more buildings of at least 100 m and 150 m height, than any other city in the world.
There are an estimated 200,000 people live in places known as coffin homes in Hong Kong which are tiny, cramped, windowless boxes.
Hong Kong has a highly developed and sophisticated transport network, encompassing both public and private transport. Based on Hong Kong Government’s Travel Characteristics Survey, over 90% of the daily journeys are on public transport, the highest rate in the world. Hong Kong’s undeveloped terrain is hilly to mountainous, with very little flat land, and consists mostly of grassland, woodland, shrubland, or farmland. About 40 per cent of the remaining land area are country parks and nature reserves.
Mount Cameron is a 439 metre high hill in Hong Kong.Located within the Aberdeen Country Park.
