TISANE

Unit 5, Cobden Chambers, Pelham Street, Nottingham, NG1 2ED

Recreating a flexible space for the future development of St Ann’s Allotments, to act as a vessel that captures the appeal of owning an allotment whilst facilitating

exciting, original, community focused activities that

remain true to the ethos and

ambitions of St Ann’s.

Through our natural ability to feel, taste and smell, people could release from the busy streets of Nottingham into this natural garden tucked within the alleyway of Cobden Chambers. Unwind their minds, admiring the beauty and smell of nature - from aromatic plants and herbs. Heightening your senses drawing out those emotions and memories as you i m m e r s e you r s e l f i n a n e n d l e s s s e a o f p la n t s . C a t e r i n g fo r t h e b o d y, an organic cafe is available where production of waste is minimal - with local ingredients provided by the gardeners from St Ann’s Allotments. Any scraps and trimmings are composted and used to produce more food. Wanting to create a synergy between two communities. This design provides a space where both can sit and share knowledge or just simply have a conversation. Join the practical workshop of learning how to create your own tisane with the variety of herbs grown in the courtyard - not just for calming the mind but also for organic eating.
