ABOUT US
OUR TEAM: We are a team of three young enthusiasts and visionaries, graduates of Landscape Architecture at Mendel University in Brno, Czech Republic. All of us spent certain time of life working abroad. England, Netherlands or Canada gave us an unforgettable international knowledge and experience we are bringing to our projects. We are bouncing our ideas and inspiring each other, always with our eyes and hearts wide open. To achieve the best possible results, we also co-operate with other professions – Architects, Engineers or Ecologists.

Garden in Vrchotovy Janovice was designed and realized around new beautiful stone house inspired by Brittany cottage style. The slopes and lining areas are covered with wild flower meadow. The dominant feature of the space is a perennial flower bed, contrasting with the stone background of the house. It is predominantly made of edible and aromatic plants and it creates a purple-yellow flowering effect from early spring to late autumn. The garden is not fenced and it is gently turning into the surrounded landscape.

The central element of the garden is a bio-pool, designed according to the client‘s wishes in 2 variants. Dynamics of the garden is supported by escalations of stone terraces from the house. They offer new places to stay, either on the upper terrace, on the site of the existing sitting, on the lower stone wall, on a wooden deck chair lounger. Terraces are surrounded by varied flower beds of pink-violet-white color. Emphasis is placed on their variability throughout the year.

The space in front of Bor office buildings has been diversified by dynamic perennial-grass beds. Hedges and a groups of multi-stem trees have created a background of the social and relaxation zone from the hectic highway. Atmosphere of this space is completed by ash and pine trees. The central part of the composition is dominated by a solitaire oak tree.

This vertical green wall was designed for student canteen at Mendel university in Brno. We want to support modern design of the building and refresh students‘ and school employees’ daily living in the canteen. Green walls have a demonstrable positive effect on the microclimate in the interior and so that on human health as well. The most well-known beneficial effects are dust collection, absorption of some harmful substances, reduction of electrostatic pollution, humidification of the air and enrichment of the space with oxygen while reducing the level of carbon dioxide.

Collaboration: Ing. Irena Smutna, Ing. David Sterba In this project, it was important to solve a dignified admission to this magical place. At present, the trail leads to the Three Crosses by busy Brnenska street. After a detailed analysis, a map of interesting places was created that would be appropriate to be linked by the hiking trail. We designed three circuits with an engaging program - these are around the Three Crosses, but not in their immediate vicinity, so that it´s spiritual value is not disturbed.

We create a space that is better accessible to the public. The last circuit is the route around the ponds. On the way, we can observe the starry sky, the underwater world, the birds from original observatories or running horses around the hipocentre designed by us. The trail is suitable for adults and children, who can reach it on a daily basis, from the area of designed forest nursery. We also emphasize the visual interconnection of the Three Crosses with the rest of the city. We propose a gradual transformation of species composition from spruce monoculture into more natural mixed forest.

The main idea of Recyclo Park Hady is to involve local people and promote sustainable development, use of waste and local resources. Thus, the concept of the park is the first in the Czech Republic based on the principle of circular economy. Both the name and the design of the park link to the existing part of the park, the bikepark, which local bikers have already discovered. Park Hady also combines the idea of education and phytoremediation (a process that removes pollutants from soil by plants) - this process is especially important at the site of the former pond sludge in the northwestern part of the territory. We also worked with rainwater and new pedestrian and bicycle connections.

Today’s Cejl is a place of dilapidated houses and barred pawnshops, a place of a remarkable Roma community. It is sometimes referred to be a ghetto, the Bronx of Brno. We are thinking about the role and future of Cejl, we place special importance on the communication and interconnection of the local specific ethnic group with the rest of the population. Through the medium closest to their nature.. music .. We want to emphasize the playfulness and musicality of the Roma community and to support talented individuals. The goal is to create a number of musical and interactive elements on the street, which will also support their collaboration. These elements are located on our designed light line, coming from Mahen’s Theater, the first electrically lit theater in Europe.

The entire street is quite narrow and we put greenery into it in the form of low-maintenance gravel perennial beds between the rails. In more significant places, the terrain is raised to the pavement level - to calm the traffic, so that the site gains a chance for revival and new functions. By moving the facade of the proposed building (in the place of the current gap) we will gain more space for new activities, thus creating a small square near the tram stop. On the rooftop terrace of a corner building, we propose to create a jam cafe with beautiful view of the center of Brno.
