Triennale Bovisa art center studio project Milan, Italy 2007 Arnita Ārmane project for development of Triennale Milano branch in periphery of city Milan. a former industrial area is already being reused as an art center, an exhibition hall has been established inside a hangar-like building. the task was to give an architectural development proposal for the adjoining territory with several existing buildings. the program includes outdoor exhibition area, an additional, smaller exhibition space, lecture hall, projection room, bookshop and artists workshops

Daugavgrčva development scenario studio project Riga, Latvia 2009 Arnita Ārmane a large scale planning project for a former harbor area and beach near Riga. the scenario proposes to keep part of the harbor activities and reprogram the unused areas for office and hotel function. the principle for development of the area is to use the structure and elements of the industrial site as important and unique characteristics of the place. 3 different types of landscape and built structure along a pedestrian path were chosen for deeper study

elderly housing and music school for children studio project Trondheim, Norway 2009 the topic of the studio was to think of new and different ways of dealing with the problem of ageing society. the project seeks to involve elderly people in the city life by creating a complex hybrid building were elderly housing is combined with a music school for children. an existing, unused building in Trondheim city center is transformed to house this program

Anamori Art Area studio project Tokyo, Japan 2010 project developed during exchange studies at AHO in Neven Fuchs Mikac studio with visiting professor Kumiko Inui. a hotel combined with an art center of 20 000 m2 in total next to a canal near Haneda international airport. the project had to seek relation both to the monumental scale of the airport and the small scale of the historic Anamori shrine district on the opposite site of the canal. the main characteristic of the proposal is the expressed duality of the program- the white hotel plane and the monolitic museum blocks

extension for the main building of The Latvian National Museum of Art competition entry Riga, Latvia 2010 Arnita Ārmane the basic idea for the renovation of the museum building was to minimize the need for transformation inside the historic sturcture and add a new, simple one storey volume in the back of the building. it was important to maintain the monumental feel arising from the central symmetry. the park pathway structure dictates the generously curving plan shape of the extension

Hay Market development strategy diploma project Riga, Latvia 2010 the historic Hay Market square has become a landmark for the Moscow Suburb of Riga. nevertheless the whole area is underdeveloped considering it’s value and qualities in the city context. the project gives proposal for the future development of the area surrounding the square thus defining and enhancing it’s urban qualities and activating it. a detailed transformation project for the historic market building is also produced
