The Treasure Behind The Rust
A GRAPHIC NOVEL An Ink Studio Publication
To look at the civilization, stripped, decayed and abandoned,
Is to watch the autumn of our lives,
And amongst this corroded landscape, I find hidden memories, Precious sentiments and
The treasures behind the rust
But that day, I found words;
Calling, intense and poetic.
“
Amongst the dead, I am but, living, Chained to fate and changing times,
I have seen wars and famine,
love and death,
grief and joy,
I have histories to tell,
My very being; a tactile tale,
Follow the trail, my inquisitive friend,
It’s a pressing matter.

Pass the overbearing watchman on
the top of the mechanical tower,
And past an old Olympian friend of mine, lost and deserted behind a cage of rust, chaos and technology,

“
With characters as assorted as a love song,
Armored in lead against the strength of time,
In this palace of rundown and broken things, I stand as a king of my epoch,
Save my soul and so save a legacy,
It’s a pressing matter.
