MULTIVALENT SUSTAINABILITY

MULTIVALENT LIGHTING SYSTEM: Glass polycarbonate panes and lightwells will add another dimension to the building’s transparency. The lightwells (much like those in Gaudi’s Casa Mila) will highlight interior spaces. The distributed light will affect each program differently as a variety of polycarbonate panes will be alloted to each space according to the diagram. (These panes will also protect against glare and heat radiation). CANTALEVERED FORMS: To further showcase the activity within the complex, A series of staggered cantalevered forms will allow for slight glimpses into some of the programs.

PROJECT 3

ARCH 101 - SUMMER 2012

ELEMENT: WATER “Architecture is the poetry of space” - Alejandro Salazar Jasbon

GUARDAMAR DEL SEGURA, SPAIN MISSION: Observe cultural and environmental dynamics and develope a public space that “reactivates” the dying River Segura. PROGRAM 4 COMPONENT: After a series of conceptual studies, the following model was molded to represent the undulating forms of the river, and man’s parasitic attachments. It is a metaphorical piece of art for the city to contemplate and interact with at the same time.

SKANKSA, BRIDGING PRAGUE VISUALIZATION

GRAPHIC DESIGN/PROJECT VISUALIZATION: I also like to take on visualization projects, such as the work I did for Alejandro Salazar Jasbon in Skanska’s “Bridging Prague” international design competition. MISSION: Develope a new vision plan for the new section of the riverfront from Libensk (Bridge) to North Zeleznicni (Railway Bridge) in Smichov to the South.

FREELANCE PHOTOGRAPHY

PHOTOGRAPHY: Though my business focuses on portrait photography, my passions lie in nature photography. An active life outdoors strongly influences my design perception in a way that urban geometry cannot. It is my philosophy that the natural environment is rich with knowledge that can be applied to all aspects of design—whether be structural or aesthetic principles.
