I am Kacey, a highly motivated and detailoriented architectural student with over eight years of experience in architectural drafting. My strength lies in my ability to think about construction details and problem-solving. I am largely concerned about the protection and preservation of the environment and believe that thoughtful building design can be beneficial to humans and the community. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, reading, and spending time in museums.

This dwelling is located at Tafe Eagle Farm campus and serves as a showcase for hydrogen and renewable energy. Its aim is to excite the public about the potential of net-zero and carbon-positive housing. The project is designed to raise public awareness through this demonstration house.
The artificial light from the house illuminates it at night like a lantern, making it eye-catching for road users.
The exterior features a timber frame, while the interior includes full-height windows with obscured glass to provide privacy and diffused light.

Bowen Hills is a traditional industrial area. There is heavy traffic on the highway, including Abbotsford Road and the Inner City Bypass, which are major roads in Brisbane. Compared to the busy main roads, the area is quite deserted. People rarely walk around the streets, preferring to travel using with their personal transportation. The only recreational area is Yowoggera Park, which includes a furnished children’s playground and barbeque facilities. However, it remains empty even on Sundays.
This project aims to attract more people to the riverbank to enjoy their weekends. On the other side of the Inner City Bypass, Thompson Street is relatively vibrant, with some retail and community facilities, such as a church and a nursery. To target visitors from that area, a new pedestrian bridge can provide easy access to both Yowoggera Park and the Convergent Cafe. People can take a stroll along the riverside, enjoy a cup of coffee, and watch an amazing movie in the indoor cafeteria or outdoor theatre.
The convergent point of Sandgate Road and Arhyle Street. The curviness of Breakfast Creek. The bridge converges and leads to Yowoggera Park.

The museum site is in Bowen Hills, a traditional industrial district. From my personal experience, the area is not pedestrian-friendly. The design approach aims to attract people from the historical Breakfast Creek Hotel and Newstead Park and connect them to the future sports centre precinct. The square with water features reflects Breakfast Creek, serving as both an outdoor
theatre and an extension of the existing recreational area. The museum’s façade is inspired by the curve of the bypass, which separates the leisure gathering point on the ground level from the busy underground driveway. The envelope creates a distinct ambience for museum visitors.
