Art of Ink Traditional and Contemporary Calligraphy with Seal Images Representing major trends in calligraphic brushwork by 30 local and international artists, this exhibit will also include a display of the art of seal carving with the actual seals and their impressions. Artists include: Paola Billi, Mary Bryan, Steve Chan, Shantien Tom Chow, Carm Fogt, Fu Zhong Gan, Young Ae L. Hahn, Tiger Han, Joseph Hwang, Young Hoon Kim, Yong Jin Kim, Sun Wuk Kim, Young Ran Koh, Young Hee Koo, Wook B. Lee, Coleen Jean Melton, Ku Mu, Check Fan Ng, Judith Barbour Osborne, Xiou Juan Peng, Nicola Piccioli, Debra Self, Howard Shih, Young Z. Sohn, Ali Tam, Chau Thuy, Linda L. Wong, Terry Yuan, Dan Zhu, Seyburn Zorthian.
March 17– April 21, 2010 Opening reception: March 17, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Please join us for a calligraphy demonstration by four artists at 6:30 p.m. in the University Art Gallery. Sponsored by the Instructionally Related Activities Committee of the Associated Students Inc. CSUDH, the Association of International Calligraphy Arts (AICA), the Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Society and the Art of Seal Carving Association. Gallery hours: Monday – Thursday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. (Closed for Spring break March 29 – April 2, 2010) Parking: $4.00 (Park in lot 6) The gallery is on the first floor of LaCorte Hall, LCH A107.
