After a 15 year hiatus, that included; a degree, a new husband, two kids, loads of flowers and veg, and bevy of critters, Amy Wesson is once again strutting her stuff on the cat-walk.

You mentioned going back to school; Where did you go to school? what did you study?

When I went back to school I did it all online, which allowed me to take care of my daughter. I took courses for medical billing and coding. When I graduated, I did so with a 3.47 GPA and let me to work at a Physical Therapist office as PT Tech.

And your husband, when and where did you meet? Was it love at first sight?

I met my husband summer 2010 in Waco, TX and it was absolute love at first sight. He's my soulmate.

I have read that you love gardening, do you prefer flowers, or veggies? What’s your favorite?

OMG flowers or veggies!!! How can you choose between the two.....you can't!!! Or at least I can't. I currently have chickens, a pig, a cat, a dog, and a turtle. I would love to add a donkey to the family but that's more a wish... for now.

It seems like more people are making a move to live simpler lives. What do you think on this?

For me it is super important to keep life in general basic; Living a more simple lifestyle creating as much as I can to live off of. There's something therapeutic about it.

I also love to sew quilts.

How is the industry changed in the past 15 years?

The only thing I can share for now is the obvious which is the electronic age and to be more specific, social media. Also, most shoots are being shot digitally which is another change from film which is what I was used to. Everything else, I'll discover as I go on this other part of my life.

When did you decide to get back in to modeling? What, and who, are you working with now?

I decided to return after a 15-year hiatus because of a shoot for CR Fashionbook with Carine Roitfeld and Mario Sorrenti. It happened very organically, and I love that. It was never forced, and it was amazing to have a reunion with the girls on the shoot, some of which I hadn't seen in many years. I am back, so let’s see what happens...It’s in God’s hands. I have a family now and this is a career which I've chosen to pursue again, but this time with some wisdom. My experiences as a woman has taught me that modeling today is for all ages and hope to share what I've learned with everyone I encounter on this ride. I have a family and this is a career. An occupation. I know I can work. Today modeling is for all ages. I am a woman now. I know about life. I have experience and I can talk about the world I traveled. I have history and wisdom. But, at the end of the day I am from the middle of America... like everyone else.
