Scenario Details Speech Theraphy with ‘Vitalk’
Student practices her homework by herself with ‘Vitalk’ courses.’ Vitalk’ matches sounds and gives feedback.
The student bring her ‘Vitalk’ to school in her school bag. Vocal cord vibration sensors and screen are in ‘Vitalk’ bag.
The language instructor comes and checks homeworks then takes his vocal cord vibration sensor part.
First the instructor make sounds that student could not reach 100 % match, then the student repeat for matching vibration.

BAYKUS Autonomous Border Security System 2017 Group project
An autonomous border security system designed to solve the existing border security problems
Details The automatic weapons may be loaded easily by opening up the rear cover at the maintanence stations.
With the movement capabilities of 360 at x and y 150 degrees, it provides a wide-open intervention view.
Thanks to two loudspeakers positioned at front of the vehicle, suspects can be warned vocally by playing loud warning statements that already existed in the system
Wide-angle camera located on gun barrel provides footages to the operations center anytime.
While the LED illuminations located the both sides of vehicle address to logo of the system, it also offers an aesthetic appearance.

Thermal Cameras
Operations Control Center
Along the established line of thermal cameras, it is predicted to be installed at 1km intervals and the cameras are connected to the operations center with a cable line while they make contact with the vehicle by using RF transmitter at autonomous system. By this way, units behave like base stations and an uninterrupted communication between the vehicle and units are provided consistently. Thus, vehicle is inherited to the motion detected area autonomously
Images of thermal cameras and the barrel are transferred to operations control center immediately. With these images, system both offers a manual and an automatic control option for operators.
Maintenance Stations
Depending on the length of the line, maintenance stations are expected to be built. In these stations some operations are made such as maintenance of the vehicles, loading of the ammunition and, adding a new vehicle to the rail system.
Since Baykuş has a user interface, operators in control center have an option offering manual usage mode. When the system is in manual mode, thermal cameras symbols on the screen that detected a movement give feedback by being on red color. In addition, they also show both the footage and coordinate of the camera on the screen. Below these footages, the interface offers the users a ‘Revert’ command option which provides to bring the vehicles in the closest distance the area. The vehicle chosen by the operator automatically revert to the coordinate of the camera. Vehicle reached to the incident area automatically begins to give warning statements out with the loudspeakers on itself by also transferring the footages to the screen.

Border Security Systems
Operators may also see the location and ammunition information of the vehicles on the screen and vehicles which need maintenance or ammunition can be directed to the maintenance station by pushing the service icon. The information of vehicle used actively is given at the bar undermost on the screen. When the system is on automatic mode, thermal cameras that detected a movement gives ‘revert’ command to the vehicle in the closest distance to incident area and the oparetors have only choses of control and armed intervention. The user interface has been designed according to standard font size, color options and, icons in literature.

to provide better working conditions for diving squads.
in collaboration with
Ideation User and Field Research
Search & rescue vehicles need a capacity for 6 persons to transport. Search & rescue operations for stranded and drowning victims in lake, barrage, pond, etc.
There are not many vehicles specialized on underwater search & rescue squads. The usual problem is storage and accessibility to equipments in these storages.
Problems
Divers need two vehicles for the missions. The heavy equipments and the boat are carried in Iveco Daily while the suits and personal eqipments are carried in Mercedes Sprinter.
They are obliged to wash the suits in the water. They change their outfit outside even in harsh weather conditions.
Equipments are stored in personal boxes but they are stored in a disordered way in the vehicle.

unique thermos design that allows people to carry and brew their different herbal teas
scenario Usage of the product
In the 3 chambers below the product, the user places 3 different teas he wants to brew freshly
The pots containing leaves are pressed and placed in their places.
Water is added to the product by opening the top cover
In the desired tea bowl, the red ribbon is turned back to show the front face, so that the perforated pores between the bowl and the water are opened to allow the hot water to enter the bowl and the tea to be infused
By pressing the key on the potted tea thermos, tea can be drunk
After drinking the tea, water is added to the product again, and the green tea bowl is turned to be brewed. Thus, when desired, fresh tea can be drunk again.
Details Each transparent reservoir has its own rotational and red feedback mechanism. In this way, it will be understood that you will drink in which bowl and you will be prevented from using the wrong bowl.
There are two perforated surfaces on top of each other that allow water to pass when the transparent housing and the main body are aligned with each other. When the red bracelet is on the outer surface of the reservoir, it shows that the water passage is in that.
The key is placed on the cover for the safety and saving temperature of the product. The tea in the thermos is only poured when the button is pressed.

MUSIC STATION Sustainability Scenarios 2014
music station scenario inspiring collective creativity and environmental awareness on METU campus
Ideation scenario development How can we encourage more people to take part in the conducted collective activities?
Necati comes across a student playing baÄ&#x;lama, at Physics field’s music area, and sits next to him. Meanwhile, he gets informed about Music Station and where to obtain an instrument.
Necati who wants to take interest in music in his leisure time, visits the instrument library and registers himself for clarinet lessons.
Berkcan who is also using the instrument library as Necati, volunteers to teach Necati how to play clarinet and together they practice with the rental clarinets from the library, in their leisure times.
After getting better at playing clarinet Necati starts renting a clarinet from the library in his leisure time in return for his identity card, and he donates a little amount of money occasionally to the donation box.
With his friends who he met thanks to the Music Station and plays various instruments, Necati goes to the Architecture Faculty to perform with them having pleasant time.
The donations made by Necati and others who uses the library as him, are used for buying new instruments for the library and/or used for repairing and maintaining the old instruments.
