HAND CUT MIRROR - 12’ 6” x 7’ 4”

Blindspot is an exploration of the notion of being present but not being seen. In todays society many feel powerless and hidden due to a wide variety of reasons. This piece explores taking the function of a mirror away by creating a three dimensional bilndspot for the viewer to interact with. When one stands 6 feet back positioned roughly in the center of the piece, the reflection of the viewer is nowhere to be found, instead only their surroundings are visible. This affect is intended to prompt the viewer to analyze the environment around them while they are removed from the situation.
