KALAS Sportswear is a leading manufacturer and distributor of cycling apparel throughout Europe. Although we are specialists in customising cycle clothing with your own printed design we also produce customised wear for other sports including triathlon, orienteering and ski. OUR HEARTS BEAT FOR CYCLING Although the KALAS Sportswear employs almost 200 people it is still regarded as a family company and our name is a guarantee of quality. We carefully control the quality in our production and jerseys are sewn in the Czech Republic from fabrics that come from Italy and Switzerland, using the latest manufacturing technology.

HISTORY The early days of KALAS Sportswear Company are not connected, as many would expect, with making a profit, but primarily with a passion for cycling. The founder of the company, Mr. Čestmir Kalas, a former Czechoslovak cyclist and successful coach of several world champions, knew that training on its own would not be enough to maintain a high standard of cycling in Tabor - the mecca of Czech cycling. Sufficient funds to run the cycling club would also be needed. So in 1990 he set about making clothing for cyclists as a way of raising funds. The vision of a determined¨cycling fan was realized two decades later when he became the leading manufacturer of cycling clothing and sportswear in Europe.

We have travelled the globe to get the most advanced machinery and materials. Japan for the Mimaki digital plotter, Italy for the inks and Monti Antonio irons and Switzerland for the sublimation paper. However, even the best technology cannot replace the skilled hands of our vastly experienced seamstresses that sew the KALAS sportswear at the headquarters of our company in Tabor (Czech Republic).

KALAS Sportswear is evolving every day, we are always looking for new ways to improve our products. When developing our products we work with professional sportsmen and with renowned research institutions, such as the Technical University of Liberec to create clothing that meets the highest requirements for functionality and comfort.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR CHOOSING THE CORRECT SIZE: MENS AND LADIES WEAR – Tops (jerseys, jackets, vests, etc.)

MENS AND LADIES WEAR – Tights, shorts

To determine the correct size of the tops, follow the chest size. Your height is only secondary figure. If your size is in between the two sizes, choose bigger one.

To determine the correct size of shorts, follow the hip size. Your height is only secondary figure. Most shorts and tights are made of highly elastic fabrics to fit closely. For larger sizes, the sizes required for shorts / tights are typically smaller than those required for tops.

CHILDRENS WEAR To determine the correct size of tops, follow the height of your child. If the chestline is larger that the size specified by the body height, choose the larger size based on the chestline. To determine the correct size of pants follow the waistline. Most tights and shorts are made of highly elastic materials and cuts are designed to be close-fitting.

ACCESSORIES The size of arm warmers corresponds to the size of tops. The size of knee and leg warmers corresponds to the size of trousers. If your size does not fit our charts, do not hesitate to contact us, we would be happy to help.

CUSTOM MANUFACTURING PROCESS: 1 | ORDERING Communication is the cornerstone, especially when something unique is being created. We understand the different needs of companies, Olympic winners and even amateur enthusiasts who occasionally cycle for fun. 2 | DESIGN A carefully chosen design perfectly complements our precisely processed products. Are you looking for a modern design, retro style or do you simply wish to set yourself apart from the competition? Our twelve graphic designers are keen to help you to prepare a design that will be even better than you have imagined. As soon as everything is approved by the customer the order can go into production.

3 | CUTTING We use the high-quality functional materials from Italy and Switzerland. To ensure absolute accuracy, our fabrics are cut using the most advanced cutting machine - Lectra. We have developed over 1000 patterns in different varieties and sizes to meet the customerÂ´ s requirements exactly. 4 | DIGITAL PRINT To print the sublimation paper we use the Japanese digital plotter Mimaki with a width up to 160 cm and a capacity of 200 shirts per hour, and everything is done in a photographic quality (720 dpi). Using the Swiss paper Jetcol and environment-friendly quality ink from Italy we guarantee the absolute transmission quality graphics on paper. This method of printing is very accurate with a wide range of colours and we can print complex designs and photographs.

5 | SUBLIMATION PROCESS For printing our fabrics we use the Italian machine - Monti Antonio. During the sublimation process a colourful design is transferred from paper to fabric by heat and pressure. We pay close attention to accuracy, which is essential for the subsequent processing of all pieces of fabric. 6 | SEWING Ensuring an absolute accuracy and a high level of satisfaction is a commitment to our customers. Therefore, our clothing is sewn directly at the headquarters of our company in Tabor. The sewing room is equipped with the modern sewing machinery Juki, Brother or Rimoldi. However, even the best technology cannot replace the skilled hands of our vastly experienced seamstresses.

7 | THE FINAL INSPECTION AND SHIPMENT After the sewing is done every product is subject to careful inspection. After that, it is carefully packed and ready for shipment anywhere in the world. We use the services of reputable logistics companies such as UPS, DHL and others.
