Our Milestones—NRI Group of Institutions Software Exhibition New Year 2014 was given a ceremonious welcome in NRI Institute of Information Science and Technology, Bhopal. One of the top most engineering colleges in M.P. A Software Exhibition entitled “Software Ausstellung 2014” was inaugurated by Mr. D. Subodh Singh, Chairman, NRI Group on 1st January 2014. This event was organized by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. The Software Exhibition showcased a combination of in-house software developed by the faculty members as well as exploration of latest related Free Open Source Software (FOSS). Sports Meet A Sports Meet was conducted at NRI Institute of Information Science and Technology, Bhopal on 5th October 2013, by Department of CSE. It was attended by 200 participants from CSE, NIIST. The events conducted were Balance Race, Sack Race, Lemon and Spoon Race, Three Legged Race and Tug-of-War. The enthusiastic participation of students in all events made the Sports Meet a great success. And so we considered NIIST is the best engineering college in Bhopal. Girls Premier League – Cricket Department of Information Technology, NRI Institute of Information Science & Technology, Bhopal organized the “GIRLS PREMIER LEAGUE – CRICKET” for the Girl Students of NRI Group of Institutions on 1st MARCH 2014 at NRI Ground from 10:30 AM to 3:15 PM. We NRI Groups believe in transparency between girls and boys! And so we can say that NRI Group of Institutions is the best engineering Institute in India in terms of studies and co-curricular activities. Teacher’s Day Celebration This day is dedicated to pure faculty, as they are the reason to make this institute as the best engineering college. Teacher’s Day was celebrated in the various institutes of NRI Group with lots of enthusiasm on 5th September. As a new initiative, the students of CSE, NIIST organized a tree plantation programme to mark Teacher’s Day. Pharmacist Day Celebration To mark Pharmacist day on 26/09/13, the Pharmacy students of NRI Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Bhopal presented a “Nukkad Natak” to send the message that daughters and sons should be treated equally. In this way we taught our student moral values and principles of life. The play traced the problem of aborting female foetuses. Posters and slogans were displayed to make the message loud and clear. Pharmacy Week Celebration The Pharmacy Week was celebrated in NRI Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences i.e NIP in order to explore the hidden talent of young pharmacist. Various Sports Competitions like Lemon Race, Badminton, Chess, and Carom were organized on the first day of celebration. A debate competition
on topic “Is human responsible for Uttarakhand Tragedy” was organized, in which students participated enthusiastically by keeping their views about the theme. Speech Competition A Speech Competition was organized for I semester students by the Humanities Department, NIIST to groom communication skills. Students were required to give speeches on any one of the following topics: •
Beauty is skin deep.

Bilingual education is a must.
•
Reality shows are not real.
CSI Student Branch Technical Extravaganza A ‘Technical Extravaganza’ was organized by CSE Department at NRI Institute of Information Science and Technology. The events conducted were Prize Presentation Competition, C++ Programming Contest, Extempore and Online Quiz. The enthusiastic participation of students in all events made the event a great success. These are the reasons we call NRI Group of Institutions is one of the best engineering colleges in M.P.
