„The Shower Series“
For the last few months I have been inviting people to visit me and allow me to photograph them in a very intimate space; my bathroom. I have also been inviting them to take a shower as I continue to shoot them. The warm water running over my subjects bodies often seem to relieve them of any awkwardness the camera brought about. The bathroom, formerly a beauty parlour became a confessional and I the hair dresser, with my subjects divulging intimate details of their life. This project has thus far given rise to some of the most disarming relationships I have formed. I look forward to these images leading the way as the project continues

Das Münchner Olympia Stadion hatte seine sportlichen Highlights vor langer Zeit, seit dem ist es auf den Tribünen, aus der Sicht des Sports, ruhig geworden. Diese verlassene Stimmung wird durch die Abwesenheit von Personen unterstrichen. Selbst das Bild mit einem Menschen, lässt diesen anonym und allein in einer Ecke sitzen.

Mein Mann hat mir geholfen die Fotos zu beschreiben, da ich sie selbst ja nicht sehen kann, weil ich blind bin.
„M“
Das Bild ist in orange/ocker, weiss, und gelb. Es ist etwas verschwommen, fließend; Farben und Formen gehen ineinander über. Der obere Teil ist in Ockertönen, der Mittlere in weiß und der Untere in gelblich oben links ist ein “M“ in ocker auf eckigem, gelblichem Hintergrund platziert. Dieses Foto entstand während wir auf die U-Bahn warteten.
Fahrrad
Das Bild ist in schwarz-weiß aus der Froschperspektive aufgenommen. Auf dem Bürgersteig, neben dem Hauseingang ist ein
Fahrrad schräg angelehnt. Der Lenker ist oberhalb des Bildes. Links, ist die Stufe zur Haustür. Im Hintergrund sind parkende Autos und die Fenster der Häuser auf der anderen Straßenseite zu sehen. Dieses Foto entstand als wir durch Berlin gezogen sind.
Taube
In der herbstlichen Fußgängerzone, die düster, grau bewölkt aussieht, fliegt eine Taube zwischen der linken Häuserzeile und einer großen Fichte. Häuser und Baum vermitteln den Eindruck eines “V“, das sich nach hinten und unten verjüngt. Die Taube fliegt mit halb geöffneten Flügeln gegen den Wind gestellt.

Warum mach ich das?
Das ist eine gute Frage. Ich habe im Dezember 2009 überlegt, was ich im Jahr 2010 fotografisch erreichen möchte. Ich habe mir da recht lange Gedanken gemacht und kam zum Entschluss ein 365-Tage Projekt zu starten. Ich hatte die Idee (wie schon viele vor mir) jeden Tag ein etwas zu fotografieren und das Foto dann zu veröffentlichen. Da hatte ich noch nicht die Idee, nur Personen zu fotografieren. So fing das Jahr dann auch an. Nachdem ich dann Anfang Januar die erste Person auf der Straße angesprochen habe und fotografiert habe, wusste ich dass ich nur noch das machen möchte. Es bringt mir unglaublich viel Spaß fremde Leute anzusprechen und mit Ihnen ins Gespräch zu kommen.
