Easy to navigate there’s only 4 sections and they’re all laid out clearly The size of the images is small enough that it’s not difficult to scroll You can zoom in on every image individually Social media buttons at the bottom of every of the 4 sections Works really well on mobile phones No contact forms, my email and Instagram are shown on the website

Sleek Simple but interesting and engaging (e.g.image slide show on first page) Sharp – the dark greys, blacks, white, sharp spaced out text, line, square and rectangular shapes Portfolio contrasting with the background, really stands out. Colour and project coordinated.
Linkedin:
*Good for making contacts *More formal, the language and look of the profile have to reflect it *Everything should be relevant to what you want to do, things like bar work don’t need to go on here
Instagram:
*Large audience ,but can be difficult to find the right one *Free to create your own gallery *Connect and follow other people, great for inspiration
I need to get into it more, but it’s very different from any social media I’ve ever used before and I’m still not sure how exactly to use it ? I need to add more to my profile, about me section, photo, some work experience. Right now I’m not really using this platform, I need to get used to it and learn to use it properly.
So far I only started an arts account for this brief, but it feels really cool to have your own little gallery online. I’m pretty bad with social media though (I have to improve) and I tend to forget to post regularly. I’m not yet sure how important Instagram will be for my practice, but I’m guessing very, so I need to spend more time on building it now. This tends to be a big help and source of contacts for many artists, so I’ll be sure to focus on it a lot more.
