ART BASED DESIGN

This is an apstract design of a museum gallery located at Thomas Jefferson University. The design of the Cavity Museum is inspired by the complexity of the ants’ colony. The proposed design reflects the significant impact of integrating advanced technology in the field of interior architecture to design creative, complex structures.

SKILLS

This project is a conceptual design of an abstract city called ISAURA. The design meets the needs of the types of people living in ISAURA as described in the city’s narrative. The vertical design allows taking advantage of natural daylight and keeps bad souls under the ocean to protect the good people.

06 This section shows my 3-dimensional models, freehand drawings, and drafting skills that I have developed during my time in the Interior Design Program at Jefferson University.

The concept was inspired by the details of human eyes along with the processes of transmitting the images to the brain. Thus, the proposed design is influenced by the curved lines of the eye vessels and the optical nerve, which covers these vessels for protection. The design features incorporated in this project are; focal point, connection, and flow. While the incorporation of these features gives the project a sense of movement and energy, the color and material selection balance this effect to meet human comfort and psychological satisfaction.

MATERIAL BORAD The design incorporates selection that ranges between gray to white to purple. The white color emphasizes purity, and thus, was used to make a positive contribution to occupants’ experience of the space. The gray and purple colors, however, are used to reflect the sense of reality and make a connection with nature. Thus, theis biophilic design feature can positively impact human emotion and successfully meet healthcare project goals.

The design is inspired by the visual features of the natural environment of Brazil. While the smoothness of the water contrasts the harsh edges of the mountains, the noticeable domination of the Christ Redeemer in the area is the focal point. Thus, the design was developed to accommodate these features found in the environment of Brazil and culture to be reflected in the floor plan, ceiling, and material selection.

To reflect the beauty of the Brazilian natural environment and landscape that characterize Brazil. Gray, tan, green, and blue were thus incorporated in the design, furniture, and finishes. The gray and tan emphasize the natural colors of the Christ Redeemer Mountain, where also green can be found, making the scene more energetic. Blue was used to reflect the calm feeling of the blue sky and the purity of the ocean.

The design is inspired by ant colonies, which have curved lines with a natural, organic organization of spaces. Although the connecting corridors and paths seem complicated in ant colonies, the behavior of ants is naturally organized. Thus, the curved cave system was used to design the Cavity Museum, so people can have different experiences while exploring the museum.

ART BASED DESIGN Fall 2018 1st year BS in Interior Design.

The purpose of this project is to make a physical model that is inspired by an art painting, Fair Weather of Man Ray. Different techniques were used to make the paper model, reflecting the sense of art behind the Fair Weather. This exercise has significantly impacted my crafting, folding, and modeling skills. The conceptual model was further developed to make the wooden model, which serves as a base for the final project, ASAURA. ASAURA Model’s Base

ASAURA This project is a reflection of my imagination in an abstract city called ASAURA. In addition to expand our imagination, this project aimed to develop our design and creativity skills. The design was developed to fit both the site and the two kinds of people that are described in ASAURA, good and evil souls. The geometry matches the architectural description of AUSAURA as it is built vertically and connected by stairs to bring peace and daylight to the people. Axonometric
