Holds & Cancellations Hold Requests: A hold request with less than 14 days notice before your next payment due date will result in a continued deduction for the next payment. This credit will be applied to your membership account. Cancellation Requests: Memberships with a pre-authorized payment plan must submit a cancellation request in writing 14 days before the next scheduled payment date. Program cancellations must be made at least 14 days prior to the program start date. An admin fee of $10 will be applied to all cancellation requests made at least 14 days prior to program start date. If cancellation is requested less than one week from program start date, registration fee will be non-refundable.

Shapedown BC Shapedown BC: A FREE program for children and teens (aged 6-17) and their families SHAPEDOWN BC is a family based group program that helps children and teens, and their families, achieve a healthier lifestyle. Through aged based group programs and individualized support, the Kamloops Shapedown team of a Registered Dietitian, Fitness Instructor, Registered Social Worker and Pediatrician, helps families to make positive changes in eating habits, activity level, parenting skills and self-esteem. Youth Mindfulness
The Youth Mindfulness Group is a free 7-week psycho educational and support group for young adults ages 18-30 who experience anxiety. Participants learn healthy coping skills, connect with other youth in the community, and get support all in a safe and friendly environment. Participants receive a free YMCA-YWCA Kamloops membership for the duration of the program. Registration is required.

Choose to Move
Choose to Move is a FREE, 6-month program for adults 65+ who are looking to get active! With the support of a certified Activity Coach, participants develop a personalized physical activity action plan based on their interests, goals and abilities. Choose to Move is evidenceMinds in Motion based and delivered in partnership with Active Aging BC. Participants have to opportunity to connect with others in the program through Minds in motion is designed for people diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease or other forms of Dementia. Registrants must group meetings at the Y and have regular telephone check-ins with their Activity Coach. Mind Fit (13-18 years)
Mind Fit is a 10-week program for teens ages 13-19 with mild to moderate symptoms of depression and/or anxiety. Participants, in a small group setting of 10-12 teens, will have a one-hour session focused on mental health topics to support participants in learning healthy coping skills. Following this, the group will participate in a one-hour physical activity session to support an increase in physical activity and to build social connections.
