The Santa Parade is back this year! After taking a year off last year for safety, the 41st Santa Parade will make its triumphant return to Downtown Kamloops. The 2019 Santa Parade was the first to be in the evening to create a great light display for all participating floats, and 2021 will follow suit! On Sunday, November 28th, we begin at 4:10pm with “Wake Up Santa” in Kamloops Square. Then people are encouraged to head to Victoria Street and get in position for the Christmas spectacle! The Parade kicks off at 4:30, and continues its path down 2nd Avenue, turning onto Victoria Street and ending just after 6th Avenue. The theme this year is Luminous Loops which celebrates Kamloops’ resilience throughout the pandemic. Parade participants will be encouraged to get creative with lighting and dazzle the spectators as the afternoon light fades. There will also be hot beverages, photo opportunities and more! So, mask up and remember to stay 2 reindeers apart (6 ft)!
