THE JOURNEY TO A CATHETERIZATION LAB AT RIH

The cardiac catheterization laboratory remains the destination in our heartfelt journey as it will enable cardiologists to provide definitive therapy in the form of stenting of heart attacks locally.

However, the road towards the same, requires appropriate and accurate paving so all concerned health care staff, including doctors, nurses and technical staff feel ready for providing this standard of care locally. Because excellence is our byword.

With this guiding principle in mind, we at the ICCHA/Wish Fund firmly believe in all the little steps required to attain the ultimate goal and in the process we are paving the road to perfection.

Thus, the 3D Echocardiogram equipment that the ICCHA/ Wish Fund will provide to our cardiologists is yet another of those little steps on the way to the hallowed final destination. This sophisticated equipment in the cardiac care unit adds another dimension to diagnostics and will allow cardiologists to make accurate diagnoses at the bedside in critically ill patients. It will allow them to save time and institute life saving therapies promptly in patients with mechanical complications following heart attacks.
