This family-centered program is held twice a week for ten weeks. Participants can expect to develop better nutrition and physical activity habits, as well as improve their mental health and family communication. Each family member gets to practice setting goals and working on achieving their desired results in this supportive, hands-on environment. Sun Run InTraining Program
Whether you’re a runner or a walker of any level, this 13 week program designed by SportMedBC’s RunWalk Coach, Olympian Lynn Kanuka, will gradually develop your strength and stamina so that you can train injury free for the 2018 Vancouver Sun Run. Participants will receive: weekly guided run/walk sessions with trained leaders, a race entry, a logbook with the 13 week training plan, exclusive training apparel, nutrition tips and more!

The Strength IN Being a Boy is a conference for boys, planned by boys, and we are looking for boys to help plan the 2nd Annual Strength IN Being a Boy Conference: Wednesday April 25, 2018! Strength IN Being a Boy is focused around understanding what makes you, you! What do you think it means to be a boy? The weekly facilitated sessions will be 1.5 hours in length; each session will touch on different topics in a fun and interactive way - snacks are provided! This full day event is offered to boys aged 10, 11, & 12 at no cost and responds to local community needs with workshops focusing on a variety of issues that impact their lives. The girls are asked to make a 10 week commitment which include both Spring and Fall dates and, of course, the PBG Conference itself. There is a range of support available at the CCRR if you would like to check on how your child is developing and get new ideas for play and learning. Youth Mindfulness Group A mindfulness-based group for youth ages 18 to 30 The YMCA Youth Mindfulness Group is a free 7-week program that meets one evening a week in a safe and friendly environment at the YMCA.
