Did you know that the Bookmobile is the fourth busiest library in the TNRL library family? That’s just one of the reasons we are so excited to be welcoming our new Mobile Library this spring! Not only will the new and improved Mobile Library be back on the roads, but it will also feature an updated schedule. This new Mobile Library was custom built for the TNRD and one of its exciting features is expandable

slides which will increase the room inside our mobile library and enable us to host programming inside! The updated schedule features an expanded route, including stops at Sahali Mall from 2:00-3:00pm on Tuesdays, in Lower Nicola every three weeks on Thursdays from 1:30-2:30pm, and at Thompson River Estates every three weeks from 3:00-4:00pm on Fridays. We’re also very excited to now be stopping at the BC Wildlife Park, every Saturday from 10:30-11:30am! You can find all the details on the updated route on our website at www.tnrl.ca. Following its closure in February and March, the

Kamloops Library will re-open in early April with a reenvisioned space including two distinct floors. The main floor will be zoned for noisier activities and include an updated children’s space, a soft seating area and a family washroom, an 800 sq. ft. café (southeast corner) with courtyard seating, and much more! The new consolidated ‘Welcome’ desk will provide service to all library patrons. The second floor will be zoned for quieter activities and include bookable public meeting and group use rooms, an adult programming space, increased study and

soft seating areas, and an area earmarked for a future makerspace. Here you can see the work taking place inside the library as part of the café is framed up!
